State used a late surge on both offense and defense to advance in the ACC Tournament. TJW had 24 points and Raulston had 22. Nothing would make SFN ha[See the full post at: State Advances, Beats Miami 67-58]
03/13/2014 at 10:05 PM #45933navParticipantI honestly like State’s chances against Cuse better than Miami. We’ll see tomorrow but I have a good feeling. Win #21 tomorrow.
03/13/2014 at 10:11 PM #45934JohnGalt78Participant#24 gets 24 and #22 gets 22. Does this trend bode well for us?
03/13/2014 at 10:12 PM #45936ILPackfanParticipantOne down, three to go. Go Pack!
03/13/2014 at 10:15 PM #45940MrPlywoodParticipantToday’s game was very similar to the BC game. Halftime lead, lost lead, regained lead then surged to win.
Nice shooting by CrazyLegs Turner really helped today.
My overnight study topic for the team – pass with conviction. NO MORE LAZY PASSES!
03/13/2014 at 10:19 PM #45941wufpup76Keymaster“Nothing would make SFN happier than sending Boeheim home a loser in his first ACC Tournament game in Greensboro.”
^And sending him to the Grand Slam Special at Denny’s early.
03/13/2014 at 10:41 PM #45943redcanineParticipantMy overnight study topic for the team – pass with conviction. NO MORE LAZY PASSES!
Might wanna add: Be ready to catch the pass!
Still, we only turned it over 5 times… against a pretty athletic team. But please, no more lazy passes. Not against Syrupcuse for heaven’s sake.
03/13/2014 at 11:27 PM #45945TexpackParticipantLet’s save Bayhime the agony of spending too much time in Greensboro
03/13/2014 at 11:33 PM #45946blpackParticipantTime to send the Orange home.
03/13/2014 at 11:34 PM #45947BJD95KeymasterThis was also easily Vandy’s best game in months. He stayed within himself, and even boxed out several times. Once earning himself a chest bump from Hipster Cat.
03/13/2014 at 11:46 PM #45949JeremyHParticipantso do we want GT or Clemson to play Duke?
03/13/2014 at 11:48 PM #45951Prowling WoofieParticipantSnoop Cat played a good game tonight. He and Lewis combined for 11 assists and ZERO turnovers. We’ll need that kind of efficiency again tomorrow.
03/13/2014 at 11:49 PM #45952BJD95KeymasterI think we need to beat Duke to have a bubble case. So an upset late tomorrow might mean we have to win the automatic bid anyway.
03/13/2014 at 11:56 PM #45954JeremyHParticipantthat’s unfortunate, because we would be pretty lucky to make it past Syracuse, I don’t see any favorable outcome against Duke. That would also be a third game in three days for 40min TJ. edit: Warren played 37 tonight.
03/13/2014 at 11:57 PM #45955tjfoose1Participant#24 gets 24 and #22 gets 22. Does this trend bode well for us?
That was game 1. So then game 2 means 48 and 44, right?
03/14/2014 at 12:03 AM #45958JeremyHParticipantOh i didn’t know that Clemson upset Duke earlier this season… that’s good to know.
03/14/2014 at 2:52 AM #45959FunPackParticipantGood job Pack. Now give them oranges hell, boys.
Also, you stay classy Maryland. I hope somebody sang “nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, goodbye” to them at least once this year.
03/14/2014 at 8:33 AM #45978Pack LeaderParticipantThis was also easily Vandy’s best game in months.
Totally agree, I even noticed once him jumping up & down for the ball when they ran zone against us. Very active. Will need the same thing again tonight vs a strong 40mins of zone.
03/14/2014 at 8:41 AM #45985redisgoodParticipantAs everyone know’s, when shooters get hot, they are virtually unstoppable. The good thing about back to back games like this is someone like Ralston will likely stay hot. I was at the game last night, and you could just see his confidence. With TJ doing his thing, the combo of him and Turner I think will be lethal.
03/14/2014 at 8:42 AM #45986WulfpackParticipantEveryone is saying we must beat Cuse, then Duke (NOT Clemson) to have a bubble case. Of course, Clemson helps us get to the finals a little easier.
03/14/2014 at 9:08 AM #45997MikeParticipantWe need to increase our RPI or BPI or RBI’s or something to that effect. I think if we beat Miami (check), The Cuse, Dook, and then *NX, we will have increased our RPI enough to get an at large berth…………
Yes, that was a lame attempt at humor, because if we do that obviously we win the tourney and the automatic spot.
03/14/2014 at 9:58 AM #46016RedReidParticipantI got home from to Raleigh from Greensboro last night and called my girlfriend to let her know I was home. She says “What was up with TJ, he only scored 24 tonight?”
Welcome to the bandwagon TJ Warren!

It’s not about making the finals for the NCAAT at-large, it’s about who you beat and beating Duke is valuable where beating Clemson isn’t.

It’s not about making your RPI better (though that helps) it’s that State needs signature wins which the Pack currently doesn’t have any. Get the signature wins and the RPI will take care of itself.
03/14/2014 at 10:31 AM #46022WulfpackParticipantI get that. Was just making the point that obviously Clemson is an easier out for us than Duke. If we are going to win it all, Clemson provides the much easier road. But I am pulling for Duke today as this helps us more in the signature win category.
03/14/2014 at 10:52 AM #4602644rulesParticipantI know I’m in the minority here, but I actually don’t want Maryland to go. Of course, I’ve never been a visiting fan at any of their arenas, either. It’s just the nostalgia of the greatest game ever (74 ACCT final). And Lefty and Len Bias.
