I feel bad for Virginia … I really do.
Sparty has a couple of games to play before they’re in Indianapolis, Grant.
My bracket is shite. I had ISU in the F4.
03/22/2015 at 2:19 PM #82112JeremyHParticipantUVA just ran into a buzzsaw. Is Duke next? : D
03/22/2015 at 2:19 PM #82113JasonPParticipantSame here, but I’d like our chances if we get them – knowing we gotta go through ‘ville or Northern Iowa first. Clamp down on Trice and our bigs match up well with them.
03/22/2015 at 2:20 PM #82114JasonPParticipantI think Duke will be fine. But Louisville should be worried.
03/22/2015 at 2:21 PM #82115wufpup76KeymasterWere a State-State match-up to happen, I think we match up with them well … if we respond to their physicality.
Trice is a good player, but he makes some poor decisions … Plus we have one of those really good defending guards.
03/22/2015 at 2:22 PM #82116bill.onthebeachParticipantCrazy to think the regular season ACC champ is the first ACC team out of the tourney.
Sparty outhoos the Wahoos…
Bye!
#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!03/22/2015 at 2:23 PM #82117JasonPParticipantCan’t help but think the committee knew what they were doing with this potential Sparty/UVA matchup. Like Izzo can’t beat UNx, Bennett struggles against Izzo. Not enough offense will always hurt UVA in this tourney. If they face a defensive minded team and can’t hit, it’ll be over every time.
03/22/2015 at 2:24 PM #82118wufpup76KeymasterEverybody writing Michigan State into the Final Four already is absolutely fine by me. By all means, let them be the team talked about and narrative built around.
03/22/2015 at 2:26 PM #82119JeremyHParticipantIts not how you start, its how you FINISH.
03/22/2015 at 2:26 PM #82120bill.onthebeachParticipantIn the the postgame… Izzo seemed “surprised” that his team did as good today as they did…
That might be difficult to repeat…
Agreed… UVA is not a comeback team…
Some version of “live by the sword, die by the sword” … without a sword…#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!03/22/2015 at 2:26 PM #82121JeremyHParticipantWho is more worrisome, Mich St. or Oklahoma?
03/22/2015 at 2:28 PM #82122JasonPParticipantSparty > Okie…but I know nothing about Northern Iowa, so hard to say. They might be ridiculously good.
03/22/2015 at 2:29 PM #82123wufpup76KeymasterWho is more worrisome, Mich St. or Oklahoma?
C’mon now, you know we don’t count un-hatched chickens 🙂
03/22/2015 at 2:31 PM #82124bill.onthebeachParticipantdontworryaboutit…
We just GOTT to play our game until somebody beats us…
As long we continue to play seven on five…
It’s much more important for the other team to figure us out…
than the reverse.Plus… teams like MSU that like to play physical will catch a game with some of those zebras from foreign countries and get nickle and dimed…
#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!03/22/2015 at 2:32 PM #82125JasonPParticipantI watched a little of SDSU in their conference tourney and wasn’t impressed. Duke should dismantle them.
03/22/2015 at 2:33 PM #82126wufpup76KeymasterSparty > Okie…but I know nothing about Northern Iowa, so hard to say. They might be ridiculously good.
According to Stat God, they’re (UNI) one of the best defensive teams in the country. And they are a really solid team. Watch the Louisville-UNI game if you’re able, even though it could be all-time ugly.
UNI is what Brad Brownell wishes Clemson could be.
03/22/2015 at 2:33 PM #82127JeremyHParticipantWho is more worrisome, Mich St. or Oklahoma?
C’mon now, you know we don’t count un-hatched chickens
just a general question : )
And I’m curious about Oklahoma, haven’t seen them play yet.03/22/2015 at 2:39 PM #82129wufpup76KeymasterJust giving you a hard time 😉
Oklahoma is Lon Kruger solid … OU-Dayton gonna be a fun match-up. Dayton will have the crowd on their side.
(edit: spelling)
03/22/2015 at 2:41 PM #82130MrPlywoodParticipantOther games are way more fun when we don’t make an early exit in ours.
Agreed, especially with the accompanying highlights and constant mention of NC State in the Sweet 16.
03/22/2015 at 2:41 PM #82131bill.onthebeachParticipantWell… I’m betting there won’t be any “bad” defensive teams in the S16…
except the Bruins… who arguably GOTT the easiest draw in the last ten years.Somebody must have paid somebody for that.

Yeah, just looked at their schedule this season. Good wins vs Notre Dame, Wichita St, and Iowa. They definitely clamp down on scoring. Not feeling good about Louisville beating them, but I’m not sure UNI has seen that type of athleticism in a bit.
03/22/2015 at 2:46 PM #82133JasonPParticipantSomebody must have paid somebody for that.
Right you are. OC and LA TV market money is good money.
03/22/2015 at 2:51 PM #82136bill.onthebeachParticipant^You mean… having the HOLES showcased in Southern californica ain’t going to bring in big boatloads of cash???
#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!03/22/2015 at 2:51 PM #82137MrPlywoodParticipantUpdating the Pack since Feb 11: Loss, 3 wins, loss, 3 wins, loss, 2 wins and counting… In that stretch they beat #9, #15, #2 and #2.
03/22/2015 at 2:54 PM #82138wufpup76KeymasterYeah, just looked at their schedule this season. Good wins vs Notre Dame, Wichita St, and Iowa
Minor correction (I’m being that guy) – they did not play Notre Dame.
Schedule was rather lacking. 17 wins vs. 150+
