I see the glistening dew of hope again.
“if we almost beat x and x beat y by a-b then we would have been that close to z who plays x for the championship”
State is the same bunch they’ve always been. Unless they can move beyond standard deviation for more than 4-5 seasons in a row nothing will change.
As for me, I think I’ll have a Fresca.

01/01/2017 at 9:46 AM #113424RickKeymasterWe should change our name to the ncsu ‘almost’.
01/01/2017 at 10:04 AM #113427WulfpackParticipantClemson got it going on.
01/01/2017 at 10:07 AM #113428McCallumParticipantAlmost is a good term to put on it.
It allows the mystic and supernatural to enter into the discussion. The stars must align perfectly for NCSU Almost to win; bad coaching hires, abusing the fan base with insane bullshi.t rules, etc all mean little to nothing. In fact those concrete items have about as much impact on the situation as a gnat flying into Reverund Barbers a.ss, it must be the mysterious logic of a divinely inspired Curry Math of sorts.
Good planning, smart hiring, hard work, etc doesn’t mean doodly squat.

01/01/2017 at 1:04 PM #113430rthomas44ParticipantWell aren’t you the astute observer and loyal Wolfpack fan. My Goodness, I am sure DY will resign Monday morning.
01/01/2017 at 1:56 PM #113432TheAliasTrollParticipantI’m one of Dave’s biggest critics, but the fact of the matter is the ACC is 9-3 in post season bowl games and one of those teams is playing for the National Championship (which we played toe to toe with). Soft spoken Dave managed to pull a winning season out of his nonchalant rear end to close out the season in this seemingly underrated conference.
A barely winning season obviously isn’t the goal, but I’ll give him a reluctant nod for that feat alone in what appears to be a much improved ACC. It would seem any progress going forward with the program should yield smiley results.
Are we at the ceiling with this guy? I don’t know, and I suspect no one here either does.
I’ve decided to approach next season with cautious optimism. Damn it.
01/01/2017 at 3:15 PM #113434jay95ParticipantOhio State couldn’t score on Chatham Central.
McCallum
How do you know of Chatham Central and our horrendous football reputation??

loyal, nopeIt was just a school I attended, endured and from which I gained degrees.
I could give a tinkers damn what Yow does come Monday. Her pattern is well established now, bad hires for major revenue sports, good hires for non revenue sports.
Troll, back away from the edge.

01/01/2017 at 3:40 PM #113443McCallumParticipant^
What is your point? The problem I have is finding a refreshing low far cigarette. I paid my dues in Wake County, I can do as I please.

01/01/2017 at 9:45 PM #113472WulfpackParticipantChargers fire McCoy. Rivers now without a coach and a city.
01/02/2017 at 1:27 AM #113476MrPlywoodParticipantPackers run the table. Bring on the NYG. Lambeau in January, just the way I like it.
01/02/2017 at 3:58 PM #113487TheAliasTrollParticipantHow McCoy wasn’t shown the door immediately following the loss to the Browns is beyond me. Chargers could have got a head start on their coaching search.. although perhaps that has been going on all along behind the scenes.. but knowing the ineptitude of the Chargers org that probably wasn’t the case.
01/02/2017 at 5:48 PM #113496wolfpackdawgParticipantI would love to see Tiger fans lose again. F em all.
01/02/2017 at 5:51 PM #113497TheAliasTrollParticipantI’ve got no animosity for Clemson and want to see an ACC team beat Bama. It ain’t happening though.
Bama a 7 point favorite. Take out a loan if ya have to, folks!
01/02/2017 at 5:59 PM #113499wolfpackdawgParticipantIf you lived in SC you would have a crap load of animosity..believe me.

01/03/2017 at 11:28 PM #113535bill.onthebeachParticipantLooks like Tigermania has spread to the hardwood…
Tigers take Holes into overtime in LJ and lose by 3…
remember, we’re talking about a Clempsum Team that has never won a basketball game in Chapel Hill…AND THEN…
while shaking hands, Uncle Roy and Brad Brommell go Toe to Toe…
Ya’ll know the old man is sitting by himself somewhere on I-85 thinking to himself…
“She said… I’m too damn old for this sh#t”Mrs. Roy probably told him that years ago…

#hedidntlisten#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!01/04/2017 at 6:53 PM #113556GowolvesParticipantDuke’s Allen suspended for one game. That is an absolute joke. Should have been three games minimum.
01/04/2017 at 7:30 PM #113558MrPlywoodParticipantDuke’s Allen suspended for one game.
Clearly he “did the work” and earned his way back on to the team. Or they lost, whichever comes first.
01/04/2017 at 7:50 PM #113561TheCOWDOGModeratorSorry, boys, I am good with the loss of Captaincy, and a game.
Standard issue for the transgressions.
