Starkville, bro. Whitey Ford’s kid from USC was a hell of a scout.

OK, beisbol savants…who is on the hill at 2PM?
Braband. Same as last night. Can’t reenter someone who’s been used up in this game just because it’s another day. Could possibly throw the rubber arm Gilbert if he has anything left in the tank and we need a lefty. Otherwise, Braband’s to save or lose.
I was thinking Gilbert, too.
Today has the opportunity to be a strange one…
On the “plus plus” side, Braband could throw 1 pitch and the batter could ground into a game-ending double play, then we are off (or home depending on Rice) to the “super”.
On the non – “plus plus” side, this is scary. It’s great we have a 2 run lead, and can afford to let one score in order to get an out, but…
At 2pm, I’ll be sitting in my office, fingers, toes, and anything else I can find will be crossed, listening to Tony…
Go Pack!

I listened to Tony last night on the Tune-In radio app for those with a smart phone outside of Wolfpack Radio coverage.
I am tempted to run up to the ABC store and buy an airplane bottle of rum to offer up to Jobu…
Truly this game is in the finest of Wolfpack tradition, these guys clearly understand they are part of the Cardiac Pack,
On the other hand, our pitching has been much better all weekend than it was for the last few weeks of the season and the ACC tournament.

What station VA?
All right, let’s do this.
Two outs on two pitches…no whammies!!!!!!
Wow, there’s a better crowd out there for this inning than there was for most full games this year.
Ply: I’m listening on a station titled “North Carolina St. Wolfpack Sports Network”
Dammit.
CRAP
had he thrown when he first came up with it, would be 5-5
Yeah, probably true. But what’s really cost us is the HBP on the 0-2 pitch. Shoulda wasted one outside, but he went after him and it got away.
Too bad too…he looked damned good up to that point.
That’s what happens when you find the first 2 batters in the 9th a free pass.
…and we blow it. typical NC State bed wetting right there
problem is that our bats always start slow
… and then another freebie on an 0-2 count with 2 outs.
One strike away. NC State in a microcosm, eh?
… and then another freebie on an 0-2 count with 2 outs.
Yep. Sadly for the past two years, pitching command has had a tendency to exit the premises at some inopportune times.
Well at least we’re gonna bow out not with a bang, but with a whimper it appears.
Makes this at least a little easier to forget and pretend it never happened.
