Believe it or not, baseball is just around the corner. You might have missed this entry that got squeezed between a lot of activity when it was posted

As far as Carlos goes there are three possibilities early on. A) He kills it during spring training and makes the Opening Day active roster; B) He performs well, but not spectacularly, and stays in Charlotte until the last week of April/first week of May; or C) He underperforms and stays in Charlotte for the first two months or so. Carlos is a Boras signee, so the Sox will be looking to maximize service time with the club. This would be most likely be route B. However, Rick Hahn has stated that Carlos will be evaluated on his talent and grasp of the major league game, not necessarily just service time. Not only that, but he IS a starter, so the team doesn’t want him in the bullpen too long, especially with the crowding there now after three offseason bullpen additions.
As a Sox fan, I want him up as soon as possible. I want a rotation of Sale, Samardzija, Quintana, Danks and Rodon ASAP.
