Rabbit Ears Pass
For a few minutes there I was reading through the posts wondering why Karl Hess made this thread.
Truly.
Rabbit Ears is probably my all-time favorite bench jockey saying.
Hey..this is my kind of snow at the moment in Cary area.
ice and roads don’t mix…
but freezing rain and power lines trumps that…
no power here at the beach since lunch yesterday….
and it’s getting cold.
the buckets trucks got in town early this am…
but there are still around 20,000 or so without power….
Dookies and Holes are having fun today calling each other chickensh%t,,,
but they GOTT dumba%%dickie stuck in town for a week with an espn credit card….
what could possibly go wrong with that ??
Yeah, Bill. Figured as much when you went radio silence.
We’ve had about a dozen momentary zaps since 3am. Sucks for ya, Dude.
Paki …the wife kept wondering what the hell happened on Glenwood.
Now she knows, and is satisfied.
yep… thanks Mr. Dog…
made it over to my daughter’s apt…
I’m sure YOU will understand this …
I HATE TRYING TO TYPE ON A F%^&@*G LAPTOP !!!!
CP&L is telling some folks it could be Saturday before they get power back….
I’m on a short street at the end of the line with lights on in all directions and with 14 houses out of power…
No priority here….
If there’s anybody at SFN … with CP&L creds,,,, help an old man out and send me a crew for about 15 minutes…
AT-AT on Glenwood. That is awesome.
Somebody mentioned “Sumter Square”? Wow!!!!!!!!! I didn’t realize it was still there…my wife lived there(when it was brand new) in 1971 when we met. I remember doing a 720 in my VW coming back from her apartment to my apartment on Avent Ferry one night in the ice…I missed a telephone pole by 3/4 of an inch!
And Wade Avenue? We went sledding one day when we had about 12 inches back in the 70’s over there at an apartment complex…I had her VW and pushed a Cadillac up the hill with it…I still had snow tires back then having lived in Maryland before coming back to State.
Sierra’s can get really sticky…stayed out of the snow most of the time, but have done those mountains from Tahoe down to Springville(betwixt Fresno and Bakersfield) Get lost in there and you’re dead in the snow!
"Whomp 'em, Up, Side the Head"!
Just got back from a cruise in the Bahamas. Missed out on all of the fun. 🙂
