Never-the-less… I can’t wait to see what the Loyal and Silent Priests have to say about it… ( Johnny, Uncle Roy, Coach Hat … where forth art thou… O Brotherhood of great one-liners… ? )

#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!11/08/2014 at 3:01 PM #61028WolfanaticParticipantThis looks like a bad high school game…Maybe they should go to a running clock…
11/08/2014 at 3:03 PM #61030BJD95KeymasterAnybody want to explain to me why an injured Jacoby is still in the freaking game?
11/08/2014 at 3:05 PM #61031Fastback68ParticipantWTF – Gt goes up 45-16. I go mix a drink, come back 49-16??
11/08/2014 at 3:12 PM #61033BJD95KeymasterWe roughed the kicker.

#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!11/08/2014 at 3:15 PM #61036TheAliasTrollParticipantA blistering asswhoooooping on the ole home field
11/08/2014 at 3:16 PM #61037BJD95KeymasterI would take my team off the field. #50 is clearly just trying to injure somebody.
11/08/2014 at 3:20 PM #61038wufpup76KeymasterIllegal block on GT? That doesn’t happen … they just dive at knees and ankles – it’s cool.
11/08/2014 at 3:21 PM #61039JaxPackManParticipantThe posters to this blog are all long-time fans and have the scar tissue to prove it. We’ve all heard the same coach-speak about the process of “building a program”. BTW, I’m so sick of that phrase. It is really insulting when the opposing coach puts in the reserves before the 3rd period is even over. Why can’t State have more of a “program” by now, regardless of who the coach is? This is ridiculous to see how far behind State is at even competing against the upper tier of the conference much less winning.
I’ll die a Wolfpacker, but it would be nice to have a decent team before the head stone goes up.

Jacksonville, FL11/08/2014 at 3:27 PM #61040TheAliasTrollParticipantNo passion or pride of wearing the uniform appears to come through very often watching this team. Maybe it’s a by-product of what TOB looked for in the recruits.
11/08/2014 at 3:29 PM #61041BJD95KeymasterOklahoma just lost their starting QB (to what looks like a serious injury) down 4+ scores in the 4th quarter. Food for thought.
11/08/2014 at 3:29 PM #61042TheAliasTrollParticipantnice catch.. a bit less of a molly-whopping
11/08/2014 at 3:35 PM #61043john of spartaParticipantlooks like the start of a new streak.
11/08/2014 at 3:36 PM #61044bill.onthebeachParticipant@Jax …as along as we have a green grass field to play on and guys who want to put on the Red and White… I’ll be pulling for the Pack… After Fifty plus years… what else can I do ?
That said… I ain’t going to worry about this Team until Coach DD’s kids are all Juniors and Seniors…
As your local man JJGrey said…. “I believe… in everything… In Everything , I believe…”
#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!11/08/2014 at 3:38 PM #61046JaxPackManParticipantI’m with you BJD95. I know Jacoby doesn’t have that much game experience, but what is there to gain with him in there now with Tech reserves in there just trying to make a Sports Center moment for themselves.

Jacksonville, FL11/08/2014 at 3:42 PM #61047BJD95KeymasterIt would stupid to leave him in even if he hadn’t gotten hurt in the 2nd quarter. But he did take a knock early, and the make-or-break game of the season is next weekend.
As is also obvious…we are playing a dirty team. Let the walk-ons take their chances if we don’t have the stones to leave the field.
As to the game and state of the program – that kind of nut-punch sequence in the 2nd quarter would break almost any team’s will. And this is Doeren’s second year, coming off 3 years where TOB had pretty much stopped recruiting. I still can’t believe we really beat Syracuse.
Nobody can be certain DD will succeed – but it’s not fair to assume he will fail, either.
11/08/2014 at 3:58 PM #61049WulfpackParticipantWe most certainly can beat Wake IF we show up. A bowl game would be progress and more practice time. That’s what we need to focus on now. If we lose to Wake, then yea, there are going to be some rumblings.
11/08/2014 at 4:05 PM #61050Fastback68ParticipantWe picked up our 3rd 2016 commit today. Have we ever had kids line up that early. Recruits keep buying in so why shouldn’t I. We all want a winning program right now. Tell that head stone you won’t go quietly into that good night without a top tier bowl victory in hand. Attack, Jax Attack!!!
11/08/2014 at 4:15 PM #61052JaxPackManParticipantBJD95, I’m not complaining about DD. Given what he stepped into, he’s done a good job. Doubt he realized the true condition of the team in terms of talent and players at all positions. N Ill looks pretty good comparatively. As you say, TOB quit recruiting and I never understood his approach anyway. It is like he assumed the NC State brand had no value, essentially took the path of least resistance and seldom tried to sell Raleigh on the top tier high school players. Which is my point, TOB talked more than any other coach I can remember about “building the program”. In the end, he probably did the least, and may have eroded the value of the NCSU brand. As time goes by, I dislike his coaching performance more and more. I’m pulling for DD to make us forget all of that.

Jacksonville, FL11/08/2014 at 4:22 PM #61055JaxPackManParticipantI sure hope Coach DD can keep the team thinking positive and playing hard for Wake and UNCheat. Wake is having a bad season, but they have been playing better and State has had trouble beating the Deacs. Isn’t it the oldest college game in the state? It may not rank up there with some of the other rivalry games, but I know Wake takes it seriously. Most of the games have been hard fought, with close scores.
State can’t give up pick-6’s and allow long runs up the middle by untouched running backs.
A bowl game of any sort would put smiles on a lot of faces. And lord knows they need the extra practice days.
Go Pack, beat those Demonic Baptists!

Jacksonville, FL11/08/2014 at 4:52 PM #61065BassPackerParticipantThe quote of the year….maybe the new obit quote of my lifetime as a Wolfpack fan…
“I’ll die a Wolfpacker, but it would be nice to have a decent team before the head stone goes up.”
Guess it will replace…
“Drink up life like a river ’till the Red and White delivers. And smile and know I loved you ’til the end”.
11/08/2014 at 5:25 PM #61083choppack1ParticipantTeam doesn’t handle adversity well…hopefully, we’ll beat wake. If we don’t start the hot seat countdown.
11/08/2014 at 5:54 PM #61091packer74ParticipantPack taken to the woodshed by GT today. Wake scored 20 against Clemson on Thursday. We scored Zero on the Tiggers. Look out next Saturday for the dreaded WTF game against the Deacs.
