ParticipantFWIW, ESPN rates the Belk Bowl #18 out of the 40 bowls in terms of entertainment value.

ModeratorTop 20. See…I told ya so!
Hey, the season did not unfold as I expected, but this a damn fine showcase bowl just the same.12/08/2015 at 7:45 PM #94384BJD95
KeymasterIt’s a HUGE opportunity, and up to us to do something with it.
That’s appropriate b/c Second Chance AND there are cowbells! Best to prepare now, yo…

ParticipantHear Canada is in the running for the ECU job. I wouldn’t mind that happening at all. Our offense if pretty predictable, and DD ain’t firing his staff, regardless.

ParticipantECU is a powder keg right now. There is a big petition to bring Ruffin back by players and fans…and fire the AD. Cant see Canada setting sail in those rough seas. If they do hire Canada at ECU, look for a quick mutiny if don’t win early and often. Would make an interesting game come Sept 10th with Canada on the opposite sidelines in Greenville…..Arrrrr !
“If ye thinks he be ready to sail a beauty, ye better be willin’ to sink with her.”

Both statements.

ParticipantNah. That’s shrooms growing on that pie. But not that kind of shroom. I spent some formative years in Gainesville FL during the 60’s and 70’s. I was a fun guy if you know what I mean.
Nowadays I carry a flask of whiskey at all times on account of snakebites. I also carry a small snake with me. Just in case.

ParticipantMy freshman year (’74-’75) a friend and I drove out to El Paso and watched Rocky Felker at QB and MSU beat the Cheats in a foggy Sun Bowl. Original plan was to make our bowl in Houston, but we couldn’t do both-Felker was a hell of a baseball player IIRC…

KeymasterSpeaking of fan support, I saw Iowa has requested 55,000 tickets for the Rose Bowl. They may have 85,000 at the game.
