GoWolves – I’m late to get back here but if you read this, my estimate of 25 is probably high, but I was not referring to the # of guys coming out each year, but the number of guys playing and starting at QB in college on any given year that will at least make an NFL team. But the key point that you and I agree on, we had 5 rare years of the very top quality QB. Without Russel and Glennon I don’t think we would have made a bowl. Below mediocrity. Here’s to hoping we are getting better and deeper at every position.
3 things:
1. we have given up on Omaha. shades of Our State.
2. we know BB will suck. time to turn elsewhere.
3. we can’t be SERIOUS about football with YOW.I don’t understand the comments about Yow. All she did was go get one of the hottest young coaches. That said, I remain concerned about the obvious disorganization on the sideline last season. I did not notice it at the spring game, so maybe they have things figured out. I think our record will be better than last year but whether we are a better team depends on better execution and adaptability from the sideline.
Wow…..just reading through the comments. There are several of you that missed your true calling. Y’all have a real future as motivational speakers, probably make millions on the circuit…….

QB is most important position on the field.
I wouldn’t underestimate the benefit of now having Brissett at QB.
He’s VERY talented, a leader, and comes with experience against better talent than what we will see this year.
He’s a difference-maker.Also, Doeren has a year under his belt with his system and these players.
7 or 8 wins will not surprise…if team gels and gets on a roll then 9.

I personally will not drink the (Back-up/Transfer) Brissett Kool-Aid after tasting the (WR-turned-QB) Mitchell Kool-Aid last year. This team just may be better than last year but this schedule doesn’t hold many test to prove it. So please forgive me if I don’t jump on the bandwagon pulled by flying unicorns farting rainbows as to the summer outlook for the upcoming season and achieving the magical 6 win total to travel to the Beef O’Brady Bowl. It frankly doesn’t take much more than Tee-ball level talent to reach 5 wins this season, i.e. having one key player better than everyone else on the field.
