From the reports inside the arena, I think we are REALLY gonna like Abu.
State 25-21, 3:48
State 27-24
Queens 28-27 1:30
@68 — nope … I GOTT radio too…
It is sloppy…
but there are some bright spots…
our Bigs are really aggressive “up off the floor”…
but they need to gain some ‘judgement’ with that…
Queens sounds like they have a decent team… too…
Lee dunk state 30-28
^ 14 TOs by Queens…
Half state 30-28
It’s just the first half of the first exhibition game… but we might remember these….
Caleb Martin … off the bench… 10pts including 2-3 from 3pt land…
Offensive rebounds… State 9 – Queens 0 (with a 7ft center)
NCS – FTA 11- FTM 8 – 72.2%
However… It’s five long months to March…
State 57-32, 10 min
Caleb Martin with hustle and enthusiasm on both ends… and 16pts in 14 minutes … including 4 – 3ptrs plus some rebounds…
looking like he might hard to keep on the bench… ‘enthusiasm’ is contagious… that will push his teammates…
Brother Cody gets in the game…
Now what happens…??
Ha!… that was a self answering question…
Next play… Caleb gets the steal and the break and the assist to brother Cody for the layup…
file that picture….
off the bench…
Corchiani with a steal…
… brings back some memories…
Corchiani amongst the trees in the paint snags a loose ball …
… and that’s the ballgame… Pack 78 – Queens 47 !
First impressions… these guys appear to well down the road towards being a TEAM… no obvious signs of ‘It’s all about Me!’ tonight…
We shall see…
Pop!
A tale of two halves. The defense looked average in one half and intense the other. Shot 68% from the freethrow line. Went to the stripe 25 times. Abu hit all six of his free throws. Sounds like some teams may have trouble stopping him without fouling. Obviously you can’t take much away from this game but you have to start somewhere.
