Our favorite Frenchman Le Nard was really crucial tonight. Wasn’t only Buckets (how does he keep finding extra gears???) and Hipster Cat stepping up tonight.
03/03/2014 at 11:07 PM #44311JohnGalt78ParticipantThey should look points per min in POY consideration….that would take a bit of the control away for the officials.
03/03/2014 at 11:08 PM #44312MrPlywoodParticipantDon’t leave me Buckets!
03/03/2014 at 11:09 PM #44313bslyParticipanthe pretty much has to go in the draft. I guess it depends on where he is projected to go. he does have room to work on his handle and his outside shot.
03/03/2014 at 11:09 PM #44314JeremyHParticipantsomeone that’s that good in the lane, off the dribble, being as good as he was tonight from 3, well, its just not fair.
03/03/2014 at 11:09 PM #44315hpackParticipantNo way TJ should stay. First NCSU baller in a long time I thought was really ready
03/03/2014 at 11:10 PM #44316BJD95KeymasterBuckets is just really good at basketball.
03/03/2014 at 11:10 PM #44317hpackParticipantmaybe we could call Fats and get him a car.
03/03/2014 at 11:11 PM #44318wufpup76Keymaster^Freeman was outstanding tonight
Anya, Washington, Freeman, Barber – I’m really excited about the future believe it or not.
03/03/2014 at 11:11 PM #44319JeremyHParticipantyea to whomever said it, maybe we should have showcased him more last year, all egos and promises aside.
03/03/2014 at 11:12 PM #44320bslyParticipantcat didn’t manage to turn the ball over late in the game. that’s a plus. this team has lots of upside next year. If we could ever learn to play defense on every possession this team and next years team can be very dangerous…don’t get me wrong I like offense but defense is where it’s at in college basketball.
03/03/2014 at 11:12 PM #44322JeremyHParticipantthis was a positive step for Cat. no reason he should think about leaving.
03/03/2014 at 11:14 PM #44323MrPlywoodParticipantFreeman scored the last 6 points of the 1st half to get State within 5. He also had 5 rebounds in that span of 2:25. Huge contribution there.
03/03/2014 at 11:16 PM #44325BJD95KeymasterYou could see Hipster Cat start to go a bit out of control late…but then his brain kicked in and he calmed the f-ck down. THAT is what he needs to do, slow the game down and use his head. His BBIQ is really quite good, he just gets overexcited sometimes.
Yo, gotta be the ponytail, money.
03/03/2014 at 11:19 PM #44326redcanineParticipantTJ was walking HARD tonight. Did anyone by chance see that poster of John C. Reilly in a Pack uniform? Sweet.
03/03/2014 at 11:20 PM #44327pakfanistanParticipantWarren is getting a lot of much deserved love on twitter at the moment.
Several sports commentators talking about him not being POW, and if he should be POY.
That numbnuts Goodman basically said his bar for Warren to be POY is if we make the NCAAs, which is completely retarded.
03/03/2014 at 11:21 PM #44328JeremyHParticipantlet the healing begin
03/03/2014 at 11:24 PM #44329MrPlywoodParticipantThe case for TJ is that he’s just about the only reliable offensive option for State, and he’s been able to do what he’s done with every D keying on him. Patrick pointed that out tonight. IMHO that counts for a lot.
03/03/2014 at 11:25 PM #44330vtpackfanParticipantNice to play strong in the second half. Obviously Buckets was unstoppable, but it wouldn’t have been enough if not for the play of Frenchie and Cat.
03/03/2014 at 11:27 PM #44331hpackParticipantOn most teams Warren is POY. 1st in scoring, 8th in FG%, 9th in reb, 4th in steals. Other teams key on him every game…
03/03/2014 at 11:27 PM #44332redcanineParticipantMr. French is the guy who says who you can and who you cannot hit. Go get him a cranberry juice.
03/03/2014 at 11:33 PM #44333AdventurooParticipantWOW….what a game. It looked for a while that the Zeb’s were calling fouls if your touched the floor with your sneaks.
Despite that, we figured out HOW to win. Cat Barber was sensational. He seemed to grow up a little. He was fairly calm and we did not throw up any desperation shots.
TJW….wow….there are not superlatives to describe the game.
I actually was a little down right before the half and did some “helper” thing for DW….like unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up her “I cooked” mess. Got off some nervous energy.
Now, it should have been closer….Gott wore his UNC shirt. I forgot to swap undies into a pair of red briefs….so that should really have jinxed up.
So much for that theory.
GO PACK….we actually WON a game with Jamie Luckie officiating….guess he did NOT get Swoff’s memo
03/04/2014 at 8:05 AM #44341RickKeymasteri think the staff talked to him about picking up silly fouls, and I think it worked.
Not sure serious…
I am assuming Luckie was not reffing as TJ averages 4 plus fouls per game when he refs. Other than that he averages just over 2. At least last time I checked it was that.
Outside of the Luckie factor, if we play Duke or UNC he will have foul trouble.
03/04/2014 at 8:08 AM #44342RickKeymasterGlad to hear we won. Too bad it doesn’t matter now.
All though we might have just crushed Pitt’s NCAA hopes with that win.
03/04/2014 at 8:18 AM #44344Fastback68ParticipantGott “Thanks for the 41 points TJ but I know you can score more.” Job well done. Go Pack!
