I came away from this game kinda disappointed. Stagnant offense. Horrid FT shooting. 1-on-1 dribbles getting into the lane and getting easy points. A win is a win, but I’m not happy with it.

Some excellent play and some teachable moments.

&spintk…. I get you… there’s little question that USF is the best team we’ve played yet… a tough matchup… and there are even tougher opponents coming…

In practice… Coach is always ‘saying’ – no, no, no, ya’ll got to this and that…
But it’s games like this where the players see for themselves out on the court…
That sometimes make’s a more lasting impression on the young kids…

To be the best … you GOTT to play the best…

Definitely teachable moments.

Also, USF deserves credit for making this game play out. If they try to play us without zone and/or try to run with us then we win going away. This may be a solid win … USF may be pesky and pull out some wins.

Gott’s on the radio lamenting zone offense and not getting the bigs involved, which is true. He said our perimeter guys did not look to get it inside enough.

I agree USF played hard and very smart. By the end of the season I think this game will be important to the growth of our still young team. Overall I do like what I see but there are also points to improve. Foul shooting of course. Ball handling when the game is on the line as a second. This is a game that would have been lost previously but the team managed to survive and advance.

Bill, I love the Copts too. Great history, suffered much ppersecution, even more than watching Pack basketball the last 25 years. Glad we won.
