N.C. State (3-0) vs. South Florida (3-0) at 4pm today, PNC Arena
TV: EspnU (Channel 208 on DirectTv)
South Florida plays in the still tough AAC: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/teams/page/SFLA/south-florida-bulls
South Florida is 3-0 under first year head coach Orlando Antigua. This is Antigua’s first collegiate head coaching gig, though he is also the head coach for the Dominican National Team – following John Callipari in that role: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orlando_Antigua
Common opponents: Jackson St. The Bulls defeated Jackson St. 73-64 last Sunday. South Florida faces both Hofstra and Jacksonville in their next two contests, each of which are previous Pack opponents. South Florida’s other wins were vs. Flagler and @ UAB. (N.C. State, Hofstra, USF, and Jackson St. are part of some obscure pre-season event that I can’t be bothered to track down the name of).
History: South Florida last played in the NCAA Tournament in 2012, notching a couple of wins coming out of the ‘First Four’.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Florida_Bulls_men%27s_basketballAccording to sports-reference .com, N.C. State and USF have only squared off once, and that was a 2010 NIT first round game that the Pack won, 58-57. http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/south-florida/head-to-head.html
(Become witness to this awe-inspiring in-bounds play) :
Prognosis: South Florida will likely take some lumps this season, trying to re-build a bit under Antigua. Still, they have a decent schedule and if the Pack can secure a victory this has a chance to be a decent RPI win (or at least not horrific like Jackson St. and Jacksonville).
Ok, let’s see what happens! Enjoy the game everyone!

11/23/2014 at 10:17 AM #62181pakfanistanParticipantUgh, thanks for the memories. Sid was….not a good coach.
11/23/2014 at 10:23 AM #62182Fastback68ParticipantTWC – Channel 370 – Thank god there is something good to watch today. Anya with 11 blocks???
11/23/2014 at 2:23 PM #62207redcanineParticipantHopefully Ralston can get going early.
11/23/2014 at 3:06 PM #62210pakfanistanParticipantThere used to be a website that did live advanced stats with an estimated win percentage…
Does anybody remember the name of it, or know if it still exists?
11/23/2014 at 3:09 PM #62211wufpup76Keymaster^I know exactly what you’re talking about but can’t think of the name of it … 🙁
11/23/2014 at 3:32 PM #62212pakfanistanParticipantTest post….
Testes, testes, one, two….three?
Anyway, I found it, but can’t post it because, who knows.
11/23/2014 at 3:54 PM #62214bill.onthebeachParticipantCoach says on the pregame radio…
We will be concentrating on keeping the ball out of the paint on the defensive end…
USF has averaged 20 TOs a game this season…
I look for us to take advantage of their ball handling…
… as that will help out bigs… Coach say all four will get plenty of minutes..
We shall see…Should be a good one..
GO PACK!#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!11/23/2014 at 3:58 PM #62215redcanineParticipant^thanks, Bill. Will we try to apply more perimeter pressure, or just play solid until USF coughs it up?
11/23/2014 at 3:59 PM #62216wufpup76KeymasterLooks like Aggies and Lobos will finish on time, to boot!
11/23/2014 at 4:03 PM #62217WufpackerParticipantCan get a good read on WVU later vs UConn.
11/23/2014 at 4:05 PM #62218wufpup76KeymasterAnya has moved into the starting line-up for today’s game
11/23/2014 at 4:06 PM #62219WufpackerParticipantThe Hippo show carryover. Woo!!!
11/23/2014 at 4:07 PM #62220pakfanistanParticipantLacey gets a lot of rebounds for a guard.
11/23/2014 at 4:10 PM #62221wufpup76KeymasterLooked over the back there
And didn’t see that foul on Anya … we’ll have some long games this season if refs are inconsistent (they usually are for NCSU)
11/23/2014 at 4:11 PM #62222pakfanistanParticipantWe miss so many bunnies.
11/23/2014 at 4:12 PM #62223wufpup76KeymasterHey buddy, don’t think you’re gonna punk Barber on defense
11/23/2014 at 4:17 PM #62224redcanineParticipantI know Cat just turned it over, but it looked to me like he was driving with his head UP. That’ll lead to a lot more good stuff than bad.
11/23/2014 at 4:18 PM #62225wufpup76KeymasterHere’s a surprise … Bulls go to a zone
11/23/2014 at 4:20 PM #62226WufpackerParticipantYikes, USF looking very efficient all of a sudden.
11/23/2014 at 4:21 PM #62227wufpup76KeymasterAllowing a lot of contact down low for USF … fine, so long as they’re consistent.
11/23/2014 at 4:22 PM #62228WufpackerParticipantHoly shit, Turner with some decent perimeter D there.
11/23/2014 at 4:24 PM #62229wufpup76KeymasterReally bad shot by Abu
11/23/2014 at 4:25 PM #62230WufpackerParticipantLMAO…you could just see Anya salivating and waiting to get that block.
