… the BOTB litmus test this afternoon is two parts…
1. Can we play hard and smart in the second half when we have a big lead at halftime.
2. How many smiling faces, how much head (and hand) slapping and talking to each other … our kids do.

^This is what’s driving me absolutely insane. We can be good. It’s clear – or at least seems so to me.
Even if we get nothing from the post, the ball should go there more often than not. I’ll take a perimeter shot after you’ve at least tested the interior and put at least minimal pressure on the defense.
I’m not sure how much to put on Gottfried here. Obviously, he’s responsible – but Cowdog made a good point in the first half about the guards wondering off of the game plan. That plus a complete inability to rebound nearly cost us the game against a team that can hardly score outside of one player.
For 10-12 minutes today, we were a team and looked good. After that …
Not gonna win much of anything off of a ‘jumper first’ offense.
