so if he’s going to fired at the end of the season i image this was not supposed to get out. absolutely no reason not to go the interim route maybe they can make a run with the monkey off their back.

absolutely NO inside info or any sources that are not on the “highly trusted” INTERNET. However, as posted yesterday, Debbie Yow was NOT at the VT-NCSU game. She rarely misses an appearance there, sometimes for just a brief first half, but she is always there and is at the table on the baseline of the Team’s side….with FULL eyecontact from team and coaches.
Michael Lipitz, her second in command was at the game.
What does this mean? Absolutely nothing, but it was “telling” and many of the regular Ladies fans noted her absense…

There is NO truth to the rumor that he will join Roy (Ray?) Cooper’s staff and help lobby for the complete abolishment of HB2 and also for unisex dressing rooms in NC for all NCAA sports to show that we bear have NO discrimination towards members of the “physically opposite” sex that want to dress, shower and participate in team activities based on their gender identity (at any moment in time and subject to fluxuation).

While I think this is the move that has to be made, we’ll see in a few days or weeks. I’m not counting any chickens.
I’m not a fan of an interim in this instance. Interims have the potential to go on a little run and make everyone think there’s something there. That’s okay if many things are right with the program (I argued for an interim of Kitchings if we were making a move on DD) because I actually think much is right with the football program but much is wrong with the head man’s baffling in game decisions. In basketball, there’s currently nothing right with the program from a coaching element outside of S&C. We don’t need any Fool’s Gold.
There is nothing to be gained except perhaps the interim coach has the competence to develop the players’ fundamentals. Since there is nowhere to go but up I say there is nothing to lose (except the buyout would be a bit larger) to pull the bandaid off immediately.

Wonder if the players leaked? From what I gather, with BJ in the dog house for whatever, it’s not a stretch. Complete speculation, of course. Sorry for not being 100% diplomatic with my speculation.

We can’t have it both ways. Just the other day we were speculating that Gott staying would kill recruiting. It could actually help recruiting.
With the right guy, it also could be good for keeping what we have.

No where DID he say Gott was fired. He said reports are Gott will be fired at season end. If you read DY email reply to my email to her, then anyone could say Gott could be fired at end of season as DY stated decision will be made at end of season in requards to Gotts future. He also said that Gott will be the head basketball coach till end of season. Nowhere did he imply Gott was fired today. Armstrong basically reported State fans have had enough of Gott and his antics. He showed snippet of Gott post game after Wake presser in which he said he plans to be at State for years to come. What happens will happen at end of season. Nothing new here…..move along.
