UNX is now on the clock.
Proceeding cautiously, but deliberately…the way a wolf stalks a prey..

04/24/2016 at 3:31 PM #102836Pack78ParticipantTruly, unx is nothing more than a thoroughly corrupt semi-professional athletic program very loosely attached to a third-rate diploma mill…Smith and Willingham launch another broadside at the ‘Flagship’:

THanks for the advice. I crunch numbers for a living not literary work 🙂

As for the “foot dragging,” remember that the NCAA doesn’t really investigate situations like this. They appoint a project manager and then rely on the institution in question to cooperate fully. In this case the CHeats did a half blast investigation to limit the scope of the damage to FB the first time around and then did the Martin white wash investigation to direct attention away from the athletic department. Both times, TOS folks followed the bread crumbs left exposed to force another look.
The difference with this situation is UNCCHeat lying to the NCAA and covering up. Almost every other institution that started an investigation after Marvin’s tweet, would have already self-imposed by now and would have also been embarrassed. The CHeats number one objective from tweet day forward was protecting MBB and Dean. Their shameless behavior is the reason this has dragged on. By all accounts, the NCAA is ticked off and ready to bring the hamma.

Read the article, obviously it’s just the rantings of a disgruntled former employee. 😛
Quote from another article by Willingham: “Whistleblowing is not for the meek. Just last week, Buck Sanders of Inside Carolina said that I, along with Jay Smith and the N&O, should be drenched in gasoline and lit on fire in a parking lot.”
Stay classy Kerlina. “Buck Sanders” is named as the president of INside Carolina, has a Twitter and LinkedIn account, but the photo is a caricature so I have no idea it’s a real name or nom de plume.

I disagree foot dragging has been there the whole time.

Still gonna be dragging but the popcorn sure is tasting a lot better.

It tastes quite salty.
04/25/2016 at 4:12 PM #102850TexpackParticipantANOA looks to be much weaker than the original. Nobody but WBB getting serious time if I’m reading this correctly
04/25/2016 at 4:15 PM #102851RickKeymasterClick to access NOA_Amended_042516_NorthCarolina.pdf
PP says no men’s basketball or football mentioned.
04/25/2016 at 4:24 PM #102852RickKeymasterI don’t recommend clicking the link just because N&O sucks but here is their analysis.
UNC accused of no new major violations in NCAA’s amended Notice of Allegations
Amended NOA has five Level I violations listedFootball, men’s basketball not named in amended NOA
Arrival of new NOA represents next step amid a long-running NCAA investigatio

“This is a replacement of” the original allegations, Cunningham says. So original football, men’s basketball references are wiped away.04/25/2016 at 4:40 PM #102854BJD95KeymasterGod, I hate being a part of the human race sometimes.
04/25/2016 at 5:24 PM #102855WulfpackParticipantHate to say it, but told ya so.

04/25/2016 at 5:33 PM #102857TheCOWDOGModeratorNot quite what expected to say the least. However, the 5 Level 1st remain AND no supplemental docs have been released.
We shall see.
04/25/2016 at 5:39 PM #102858StateRed44ParticipantWouldn’t LOIC and failure to monitor AA studies cover the mens football and basketball programs considering they were enrolled in these classes, received credit, and had eligibility because of these classes?
04/25/2016 at 5:40 PM #102859MrPlywoodParticipantBullsh*t does in fact walk. Or skates.
04/25/2016 at 5:45 PM #102860WulfpackParticipantYour dreamin’, Dog.
04/25/2016 at 5:48 PM #102861StateRed44ParticipantIf they skate with respect to their revenue sports this is extremely corrupt and rotten. I’d like to see the justification of this if true. Is there some loophole, is it really pure corruption, are the holes too smart for everybody. Boggles the mind.
04/25/2016 at 5:55 PM #102862freshmanin83ParticipantLooks like their self reporting ploy worked. It bought them enough time to get too the right people. Or possibly it was part of a deal that went something like give us a lamb to sacrifice if not we will go after MBB and FB so they gave them the Ladies BB team to be slaughtered.
04/25/2016 at 5:58 PM #102863TheAliasTrollParticipantI mean, the NCAA obviously is not out to hammer UNC.. they were essentially complicit in giving them a shot at the title game this year. The timing of this a few weeks after the title game can’t be coincidental.
Am I missing something? Is there some kind of rule that the NCAA imposes on itself that it has to wait until after a championship caliber team’s season is over before starting this process? What a joke.
04/25/2016 at 6:03 PM #102864RickKeymasterHate to say it, but told ya so.
And I believe we were called names for our justifiable skepticism. I won’t be holding my breath for any apologies.
I think we can disregard some claims to have ‘sources’.04/25/2016 at 6:29 PM #102865RickKeymasterI mean, the NCAA obviously is not out to hammer UNC.. they were essentially complicit in giving them a shot at the title game this year
Which, combined with the NCAA foot dressing, is why i didn’t expect any punishment at all.
