If you were exhausted from Selection Sunday, or deep into bracketology research, you might have missed a striking exposé on the NCAA that aired on “La

But a great review of the continuing hypocrisy of the NCAA. Wonder how much of this ridicule they can take before something positive happens?

But the entire thing ends up on YouTube a day after it airs. And they went from 1 hr to 30 min. So not sure it really adds to the allure of HBO subscription.
Their research is remarkable and really lay out in depth arguments. For example, I am now convinced that the death penalty is ineffective and extremely expensive relative to life in prison.
And the list goes on and on. Subscribe to the Last Week Tonight with John Oliver channel on YouTube. One of the most informative shows on TV.
Especially considering how lukewarm 24 hr news has become.

I liked how the guys interviewed about taking Swahili could barely say it with a straight face. And John Oliver’s point that having these guys take Swahili to stay eligible (while adding no actual value to your life or education) is a topic you’d expect to cover in a course on the plight of African-Americans that they’re supposedly studying.
03/18/2015 at 4:08 PM #80330WolftownVA81ParticipantThis was hilarious. Besides the *NC comments, the Kitty Poster and Dick Move comments made me laugh out load. The Swahili references will also never get old.
03/18/2015 at 10:20 PM #80346blpackParticipantNever heard of this guy, but he is spot on hitting U*NC. I just had to laugh. U*NC is a joke and a diploma mill. Bring on the sanctions.
03/19/2015 at 9:20 AM #80359VaWolf82KeymasterThis article ties the UNC case with the overall integrity/viability of the NCAA:
03/19/2015 at 9:30 AM #80360BJD95KeymasterSpot f-cking on. If the Holes aren’t sent to the deepest recesses of the Gulag, then the NCAA has ZERO legitimacy. Not that they have MUCH now, but this would be the final straw.
I finally watched all of this yesterday, and it was perfect. Oliver finally made some of the points (at least hinted at them) I have ranted about the race aspect of this wrt U*NC. Really pisses me off. Dude pulls no punches.
Also very glad he gives ol’ Dabo the finger a little. That guy irks me more than a little. He oozes shady used car salesman.
THANKS, COMRADE 76 FOR CATCHING MOST HIDEOUS TYPO

I’m sure you meant aren’t … right? 🙂
