Over the years, I spent a whole lot of time in the Commonwealth and got to know a bunch of Hokies… I still got a little piece of a farm on the New River just over mountain on Hwy 460 from Blacksburg, I think… I need to get up that way and check on it….
Can’t say anything bad about ’em Hokies… cut from the same bolt of cloth, more or less, as a whole lot of NC State folks. Truth is… we could probably say the same thing the folks about most any Land Grant University. With few exceptions — Ohio State & Penn State, at the top of that list — We all live in the shadows of more arrogant Universities…. and we got that AG – Science – Engineering – with spelling and punctuation added – thing in our DNA…
But we got to play some ball tonight and it needs to be our best…
We all still be friends with Hokies in the morning….
