Answers the #1 question I had – yes, they do see Trea sticking at SS, in fact, as a plus defender. Power is the only thing keeping him from being a “five tool” (or as my favourite prospect evaluator, John Sickels, would say – “seven skill”) prospect. He should be up for September at the latest, not that most of the home folks in the Raleigh area can see him play, even with MLB.tv…
Didn’t realize Turner had already gotten the triple-A call up. That was fast.
After an O for 17 start with Syracuse, Turner has been hitting at a .368 clip since.
Yes, I aquiesce to Dr.BadgerPack,and Beej over Turner at SS. He will be called up as an infielder.
However, I still see him roaming the CF gardens, ala Mantle,Tresh and Yount.IF he establishes himself as a .300 hitter, we may forget that he ever played the 6 on your scorecard.
