09/05/2015 at 7:42 PM #88313MrPlywoodParticipantHaven’t been able to see of hear any of this game. Someone enlighten me why Troy has 14 points on the Pack.
09/05/2015 at 7:51 PM #88314RickKeymasterI turned with thirty second left. What happened?
09/05/2015 at 7:55 PM #88315RickKeymasterSamuel fits in the old testament theme
09/05/2015 at 7:58 PM #88316BJD95KeymasterDamn it, don’t make me have to pay attention into the 4th quarter. I’m mixing high ABV beer and narcotic cough syrup…

Die Hard references ftw.
09/05/2015 at 8:44 PM #88327WufpackerParticipantThought Gallaspy looked to be in. Hating the available replay angles though…don’t think it gets overturned.
09/05/2015 at 8:50 PM #88328BJD95KeymasterWoulda been cool for the frosh to get his first score and whatnot. Oh well, still 3 more cupcakes to go!
09/05/2015 at 9:03 PM #88329WufpackerParticipantWell….
09/05/2015 at 9:07 PM #88330JohnGalt78ParticipantCondoms fail to penetrate Pack’s stiff defense.
09/05/2015 at 9:10 PM #88331JohnGalt78ParticipantScout team in. Haven’t seen that in a while. Nice. We should maybe try to set up some field goal practice.
09/05/2015 at 9:16 PM #88332WufpackerParticipant^ I think we should be happy that no PATs were shanked, and go from there.
09/05/2015 at 11:23 PM #88333mak4dpakParticipantGreat start to the season, not perfect, but still a good win, and no turnovers, as for a side note, finally started back selling concessions in the stand, so you can stay in your seat and keep watching the action.
09/06/2015 at 12:05 AM #88334GowolvesParticipantLife is good on the knucklehead board. I mean that in the most affectionate way. Really.
Anyway I saw a lot of good and a smidgen more of SOME concern. Play is flowing well. The secondary played good enough. Not too happy but there were some well placed passes with defenders there. The defense in the first seemed jittery. I think the bar is high on this defense. This game doesn’t change that.
This team will surprise a lot of people.
09/06/2015 at 3:17 AM #88335tjfoose1ParticipantGood solid win. A perfect game is NOT want you want in game one. Still plenty for the coaches to harp about.
Defense will come along. Five plays got Troy 190 yds (2 of them long passes with great coverage, they just made a great play), but only 105 in all the others. The long run for a TD (the read-option around the D’s left) looked to be a communication issue within the secondary or between them and the DE. But anyway, the talent and scheme is there. By the time we need it, the D will be humming along just fine.
No turnovers, 1 penalty (an accidental facemask), in game one. That is coaching, folks. But not just coaching. It’s leadership, discipline, accountability, and culture… none of which just came about by accident. It goes back to why I wrote in an earlier postings that the WTF loses with this staff will be far and few between. The ankles of clay are gone.
But then, what do I know. These coaches are in over their head.
09/06/2015 at 8:50 AM #88351TheCOWDOGModeratorKeep an eye on the Silvers kid. He is one of the most accurate passers in the college game.
LBs are better than what they showed last night.
Troy was big up front and Barr & Richardson (my questionables) looked really good…a very positive sign. Pack has a ton of weapons.Doeren kept one pretty much in the silo…Hines. -
