I almost hate the slapped on the wrist by the ncaa syracuse orange more than chapel hill so i hope our team is ready today to send the seniors out in style. Would love to see screens set for battle like they are for turner on first possession and start this game off with a 2 3 zone buster 3 for nc state. I do not care how we win today please just beat the team from new york and give us some NEW YORK LIFE INSURANCE to punch our ticket into the ncaa tourney as at least a 9 seed. Let’s see, Orange turned themselves in. Cheaters spent millions trying to cover up their elaborate, decades-long, structured, specific intent scheme to cheat the system like it has never been cheated before. Finally, they “self imposed” a little post season ban in a single sport that they honestly don’t care much about (but ordered rings anyway) and declared themselves once again the holy flagship of the entire world, above reproach and suspicion. How dare anyone think otherwise!

I feel better now. A win today would be absolutely glorious! Hope hungry Pack show up today. And certainly hope Lacey is paying attention to the fact that we have a game today. Kid’s awesome with a little focus.
We SEEM focused and aware of the stakes. We are the better team, and I think the matchup is favorable. I think L’Orange blew their last wad in the first 12 minutes of the Wahoowa game, and the subsequent collapse killed their spirit even before the NCAA piled on.
We shall see. I have cheap wine at the ready JUST IN CASE.
I don’t have the warm fuzzies about this game even though Bayhime doesn’t seem like the kind of guy the kids would get pumped up and go win one for. I hope we put them away early. I’m also confident that a win today makes us a lock.
I give us about a 20% chance of winning this game. I hate feeling that way. I really do. But this is just how we roll.
Based on past performance, we lose today and are then forced to win a game or two in the ACC tourney, which we will do.
Instead of getting into the NCAA tourney comfortably, we’ll make it unnecessarily difficult on ourselves. Maybe somehow, someway, this time will be different, but I’m not counting on it.
CBS streams their games on the cbssports.com site, but not for free. Not sure how many virus-happy dodgy eurostreams there will be.
I was game theorying this bad mamajama in the shower just now, and here is what I have decreed:
We NEED to be the 7 seed, opposite Pitt.
Based on the following primary objectives:
1) Assuming we beat L’Orange, we need maximum odds of avoiding play-in round
2) With a loss today, we need to avoid getting bubble burst (even if unlikely)I no longer think a win today and ACCT Wednesday loss gets us bounced, but it could land us in Dayton if it’s a bad loss. But FSU would be a bad loss, and Wake would be an AWFUL loss. Pitt would not be.
Lose today, and I think we for sure need to win on Wednesday, and that win needs to not be against a chump. Pitt is also a much better matchup for us than FSU (we slaughtered them when Power Kitty was still in the garage offensively). Plus, beating Pitt prevents them from making an ACCT run and competing with us on the bubble. Two birds with one stone.
I’m certainly hoping for a stress-free victory. Got the Jack on hand in case things get ugly, though (so what if it’s early, it’s Saturday and I’ve got nowhere to go, sue me).
Also, College Gameday is in Crapel Hill today for the Dook-UNX bout. Anyone else notice they spent about 20 secs on the Sulaimon sexual assault allegations, while they spent 10 minutes on Boeheim/Cuse??
Haha I’m feeling a lot different than others I’ve seen post here and in other threads … I’m feeling State rips them a new one! Hope I’m right for a change hahaha. Agree w/ the Premier, we are the better team … even if Cuse brings it we’re every bit as capable of rising to that challenge. Boeheim & co. are not some omnipresent force, they’re gonna get their ass kicked today … talking heads squawking about them nonstop be damned.

Winning today is earl Hughes huge. Not sure if it totally punches the ticket with a Wednesday tourney loss…but it puts a bid even with a loss in the 80% range.
And the cuse is definitely my 2nd most despised team in the conference…. Although as indicated in previous thread I don’t blame them for cheating

I’ve noticed quite a few thinkpieces/talking heads talking about the allegations regarding Jones “definitely tarnishing Pitino’s legacy.” Yet not a word about their precious Coach K. Such a double standard when it comes to the Blues. It’s sickening.
There’s a reason I only watch the actual live action, and none of the “analysis” on ESPN. Fuck those fuckers.

^Wow, I’d like to see that. The only way that isn’t absolute bonkers retarded logic is if Pitino knew that Jones had a history of such actions or made himself to be known as one who might be that sort of guy while he was still under Pitino’s watch.
