I like this but have no idea what it means to us, us being our team and the staff. Hopefully other 4* recruits will feel more inclined to commit to State, i.e., have other 4* recruits to play with — fulfilling the future Doeren is creating in his recruiting.

YAY. Means nada in terms of actual, real-world performance, but anything that helps with recruiting buzz and momentum is good news.
13 of 14 ACC does not mean much. 43 nationally is solid. It’s a smaller class for us so it is not skewed upwards by volume. The Star Average (2.94 for NCSU) may mean more than rank if you have the quantity of players you want. Wake is rated higher than us with 10 2stars. I would rather have our group than Wake or BC and our group looks even with Duke, Pitt and UVA. Too low a star average with a higher rated class means you are loading up with 2 stars and class size is large. Which means future recruiting classes will be hampered.
And we have 5 commits for 2016, earliest we have ever had that kind of success. This will be a small class too so we can be quite selective.
Correction – we are ranked 45 nationally.

It was 43rd when you wrote it. Somebody got another commitment. I don’t understand all I know about the recruiting rankings but I expect we will be more than respectable when a couple of our 2 stars upgrade to 3s and we land Hines, and Hughes and a few others.
Just what IS the number of available scholarships for 2015?
