P.S. I meant recruit over, not over recruit…Huge difference.
Can SFN afford an edit button for alternative devices? I’ll pay for damned thing,if not.
Mebbe you need a phone from this decade? 😉

As (apparently) the world’s last Blackberry user, I resent that on Dog’s behalf!!
04/07/2015 at 6:02 PM #84728WufpackerParticipantYou pipe down…I’ll get to you and your clickety-clack-buttons in due course.
04/07/2015 at 6:11 PM #84729TheCOWDOGModeratorSo…everybody has an edit button, but me?
Lord. That means there is no alternative but to proofread everything.
04/07/2015 at 6:17 PM #84730WufpackerParticipant04/07/2015 at 6:19 PM #84731WufpackerParticipantLOL, OK…I’m done being a dick. For now.
Truth is, I dunno why you don’t get an edit button. Just felt like busting yer ballz. 😀
(EDIT – So, you want I should go back and clean up your mess that got all this started?)
Yes, I’m sleep deprived. Or is it depraved? Potato/Potahto
04/07/2015 at 6:31 PM #84732TheCOWDOGModeratorSee…I used to have these magical fingers. Even the expression, “All thumbs” worked to my advantage…being a devout thumbs-in receiver.
Wait…with no edit button, I’m not sure I like how this reads…
Is there a do not submit button?
04/07/2015 at 6:44 PM #84733WufpackerParticipantLMAO…I’m shutting up now lest I bring blonde vengeance raining down upon meself.

1) They don’t even have to be burger boys — they need to be good,
2) they need experience,
3) and they need to have played together.Wisky is the perfect example:
Top 7 players were
* RS senior
* Sophomore
* Senior
* Junior
* Sophomore
* RS senior
* SeniorFrom what I can tell, none are transfers. No freshmen.
Since that does not apply to us I think you are barking up the wrong tree.
If you insist we need experience and they have to play together for a long time before we can be good then Gott is not the coach for you. His reliance on transfers means it will never happen. Your scenario (Wisky) is so rare it is like relying on the lottery for your retirement.04/08/2015 at 8:09 AM #84762RickKeymasterSo…everybody has an edit button, but me?

My phone sayd “I’m your huckleberry”
04/08/2015 at 8:59 AM #84765marinewolfParticipantwhen a mid-major coach has a breakout year the media is all over this guy as the next great hire
Shaka Smart heralded as the next great he elected to stay until the pickings were plum- now he chooses
Texas (all about the money) glad State didn’t hire him (think he will flame out) he will have at 4-5 years
at Texas, then will be on his way back to a mid-major and will slip into obscurity.
Greg Marshall same way has turned down many offers (he situation is a little different WSU does have a little
more stature than VCU)
even if it was a late hire I think Gott is the right man for State, seems to have passion for the University and
its history, has respect for our neighbors but does not fear them.04/08/2015 at 9:04 AM #84766WulfpackParticipantI have an edit button, but it never works.
04/08/2015 at 9:38 AM #84767AsheWolfParticipantI haves ann edite buddon but I don’t never uses it.
04/08/2015 at 12:33 PM #84781MPParticipantAnyone have others to add (or subtract) based on two additional years of information? I would say:
Tony BennettI would offer Gregg Marshall if he keeps this up.
Since nobody else made suggestions for addition or deletion let’s go with the list (on page 8 for anyone who cares) and add Bennett and Marshall. I’m surprised packalum44 didn’t jump in with Jamie Dixon, but alas I will not include him in this hypothetical exercise. HOF-level coaches by conference:
ACC: 6
B1G: 5
B12: 4
SEC: 2
PAC: 1
AAC: 1
WCC: 1
MVC: 1TOTAL: 21
04/08/2015 at 1:43 PM #84787VaWolf82KeymasterSound familiar? For their sakes, I hope it is accurate.
According to a source, Anderson and Senior Associate Athletic Director David Cohen on Saturday interviewed former ASU assistant Scott Pera, who’s now an assistant at Rice. Buffalo’s Bobby Hurley, Texas Christian’s Trent Johnson, Memphis’ Josh Pastner and former St. John’s coach Steve Lavin also have been connected with the ASU search.
04/08/2015 at 4:36 PM #84801PackerInRussiaParticipantI guess Herb is just too hard an act to follow.
04/08/2015 at 6:11 PM #84813marinewolfParticipantthey will announce Lee Fowler as its new AD and Sidney as the new coach
04/09/2015 at 9:06 AM #84844VaWolf82Keymaster04/09/2015 at 10:59 AM #84854WTNYParticipantRick — the point is the Pack has lacked the necessary experience (per player and as a team). Next year looks to be better. This bodes well for the Pack.
04/09/2015 at 11:05 AM #84856BJD95KeymasterNote that MG likely learned from that v2.0 experience too. And in his defense, he was publicly and privately trying to get people to ease back on the throttle. He knew things were not exactly all systems go.
He ain’t doing that this time. Quiet confidence from all corners of the wolven universe. That hasn’t been the case as far back as I can remember. Kinda scares me shitless.
04/09/2015 at 1:16 PM #84868MPParticipantNow, the list in order of salary (unfortunately with mixed sources; does not reflect any raises reported since the NCAAT):

Here is a link. Pretty interesting story
Another Mikey protege now working on his resume….

I respectfully disagree. In this day and age to have a combined 11 years of exeprience at the guards is more than enough experience.
04/10/2015 at 8:08 AM #84902RickKeymasterWhy would Hurley go there? Very interesting.
