Sorry to see this – had the pleasure of speaking with him several times through the years, and he was always gracious and generous with his time, and interested (or at least pretended to be !) in a layman’s thoughts and questions.

Ditto the above. I put up a forum earlier on it. I THINK that at one time, he actually quit WTVD and was running JTV Enterprises for Valvano. That actually did put him in the “Coach’s Show” MC chair. Don’t know exactly when he left JTV and was an NCSU Employee.
Really great guy….did talk to him a few times. Always positive….and outgoing. Not braggy….

Don Shea was a true gentleman and a consummate Wolfpack supporter.
I called him “N C 2 A Don Shea”, since that’s what he called that institution. I don’t know if he ever got on board with “N C double-A”. 🙂
Never met him. He was certainly an institution in the Triangle sports scene.
