Really neat article here about playoff era posturing already kicking off, much like the NCAA MBB selection process. A lot of ACC references in here.
This quote from Barry Alvarez stuck out:
“You’ve got to show in non-conference games there’s an intent of scheduling the right people,” the Wisconsin AD and selection committee member told reporters on Wednesday.
Hope the proper authorities in Raleigh get the notice.
I wouldn’t worry too much about this. If our strength of schedule is affecting our ability to make the football playoffs, we’ll be in pretty good shape. That’ll mean we’re one of the top 5 or 6 programs in the country; at that point we’ll be a much more attractive scheduling option to quality schools and it will no longer be an issue. I’ll welcome being in that position no matter the schedule.
