I like that we are included in that list, but am not optimistic.
Yeah, I noticed we’re last. Good to be included, though. And I like that Gottfried doesn’t just give up and say, “Hey, UNC and Duke want him, so let’s look elsewhere.”
Communism is not love. Communism is a hammer which we use to crush the enemy. Mao Zedong
We GOTT this…
Very classy of him to keep all three local schools on his list – whether or not he’s interested ! You know those three have been making the effort for the past couple of years, so it’s a nice gesture to throw the local guys a bone. That being said….
Who knows what moves these kids these days?
* However, if he’s looking for trophies, I have to think that State’s got to go a little farther in the NCAAT a couple of times to make a kid think that he can be the missing piece in a championship team.
* If he wants to play with the highest rated players in the country, he’ll probably lean toward UK.
* If he wants to play for the best coach in the country, he’ll lean toward DU.
* If he thinks he looks good in baby blue …. well, we know what that means.
I don’t know his motivations, but unless there is something pulling him other than just recruiting, I don’t see him getting any farther west than Kentucky. I’d think the Bruins are the least likely, all things being equal.
I look at the list and I hear the song from Sesame Street
One of these things is not like the other
One of these things just doesn’t belong
I’d like to think I wouldn’t have that reaction in another five years.
I believe Duke is the team to beat but we are is his top three
You’d hope the very recent, very extreme success of a 6’8″ SF would give us some credibility.
Dammit, Texpack beat me to it. Sad to say, that’s the first thing that popped in to my head.
Tarheels got a lock on Kinston.
But Les almost got Jerry.
Why not?
State has a lot to offer – with exception of the tradition in comparison to duke and unc.
We know Gott has a big set when it comes to recruiting.

Indeed. Having a “make ’em say no” attitude often serves one well in an array of affairs.
