He is a correspondent for Ncaa.com. In addition to the 32 automatic bids there are also 36 at large invitations extended. On a weekly basis he lists the teams he thinks will get an invitation. Of course some of them may receive the automatic bids and open up additional spots anyway here is part of his list for this week.
16. NC State (NR): Finally. Yes, finally the Wolfpack have the ACC road win that should have everyone recognizing that this team is the real deal when it’s right. The Wolfpack had already beaten Duke and Clemson at home and Arizona on a neutral. But winning at North Carolina was a strong signal that Kevin Keatts’ crew is in this race to stay. The Wolfpack have a week of practice to get ready for Notre Dame on Saturday. This is the week where they get even better. Watch.

UH is number 15. I watch the Coogs a lot. They would beat us 7 out of 10 times
They couldn’t beat us if they had Clyde Drexeler and Hakeem Olajuwon.

Well yeah. I mean, the Glide and Hakeem are about 50 years old these days.

On an interesting note they asked Clyde Sunday during the Rockets broadcast, who he emulated when he was developing his game as a kid. Dr. J and David Thompson were 2 of the three answers.
The Coogs also blew an 18 point first half lead at Cincy last night. That was a major lost opportunity for their resume.
