ESPN: The ACC will move its conference tournament title game to Saturday night after being a Sunday final on the day of the NCAA tournament selections

Hmmm, this makes a ton of sense! Puts the game in prime time Saturday night. Gives an extra day off for those who might play early in the NCAAT.
Now about that new logo ….
Makes ACCT Friday a lot less fun. But it does make sense. And they tourney mystique is long gone anyway.
This is great. Primetime Saturday night final, giving the boys time to get back to campus for the Selection Show and rest. And semifinal Friday night is must see tv.
Gott and Roy are both big fans of the new format. See videos here:

Now that we’ve gone back to an earlier beginning of the ACCT, perhaps the Wolfpack and Wake brass can request that they be allowed to play each other in the season finale like they used to, so that they won’t have a long travel weekend to BC or Miami on Sunday and then have to leave on Monday for the ACCT.
This would give the Pack and Deacs, who will surely be playing on Tuesday or Wednesday, an extra day to rest before having to hit the road again.
The regular season will end on Saturday now, presumably with the Blues on ESPN primetime.
