True but…they really had no chance with nothing coming from the perimeter. Horrible shooting and shoot selection. Freeman o points, Markell 0 points, Beverly 4 points, Hunt 0 points. Batts got 12 but mostly meaningless at the end. The whole team has got to contribute for us to be any good.

I figured before the season even started that this one would be ugly. To beat UVA a team needs to be a cohesive unit playing team ball, really pressure them out of their game, make a lot of threes and value the ball. Given where we are as a team, it was a tall order on the road.

Well, on top of that, the bad Wolfpack showed up today. We played outside in despite making nothing, didn’t value the basketball and didn’t play great team defense. Oh well. On to the next one.

Time for the team to refocus against Wake. This is a very winnable game and would leave us at 3-3. I would have taken that in a second after watching Clemson in the non-conference.
