third time’s a charm, however. hope you get it fixed.05/20/2015 at 12:44 AM #86354WufpackerParticipantCan you imagine how those of us lacking any humanity must feel?
No longer my problem. Not unlike Skynet, I became a bit more self-aware tonight.05/20/2015 at 6:32 PM #86360TheCOWDOGModeratorI betrayed Wuf by answering a preposed statement in one of the other baseball posts.
So…is it Arnold #1, or #2 that should be gunning for me?
I really do hate baseball writers getting stepped on.
Pretty soon they wind up writing for someone else.I likes our chances, and will be there on Saturday night.
05/20/2015 at 7:25 PM #86361WufpackerParticipantHaha!! No betrayal, my man. My cryptogram above has more to do with RG going rogue than anything else. Dude’s driving me crazy.
But to answer the hypothetical, if one must get terminated, my preference would be for the blonde bombshell in the 3rd installment. With the cutie in the TV version/abortion coming in as choice 1b, lol.
05/20/2015 at 7:44 PM #86362WufpackerParticipantJust saying….
05/20/2015 at 7:57 PM #86363WufpackerParticipantAnd I’ll be schlepping to the DBAP for all three it looks like, even braving the alleged storminess (stormy-fied? stormy-esque? whatever) for tomorrow’s early start. But under the roof tomorrow and Friday, so who cares? Behind the 1st base dugout for Sat night.
05/20/2015 at 8:11 PM #86364TheCOWDOGModeratorStill. I promise to never react to a State pill post not started by you, or DBP.
Evahhhh…..
05/20/2015 at 8:30 PM #86365WufpackerParticipantLMAO, no need. You know me better than that.
But still, I do still mourn DBP’s self-imposed banishment, especially this time of year. Makes me wish we could land in Gainesville so we could road trip down and annoy the shit out of him. π
Sadly, we’re likely to be shipped west of the mighty Mississip barring a bulldozer impression this week. Depending upon what’s the lay of the land around here at the time, I might consider a Dallas trip tho.
05/20/2015 at 10:43 PM #86366WufpackerParticipantJust to update folks so far…
Play-in games: UVA 11-0 over GT, Carolina 5-3 over VT
Pool Play Day 1: FSU 3-1 over Clemson, Miami 9-5 over UVa, ‘Ville over Carolina 7-4Pool Play Standings:
Pool A
L’Ville 1-0
FSU 1-0
Clemson 0-1
Carolina 0-1Pool B
Miami 1-0
Notre Dame 0-0
NC State 0-0
UVa 0-1As an aside, I could hear the same loudmouthed ‘Ville fan on the ‘Ville/Carolina TV broadcast tonight, whom I had the pleasure of more or less sitting next to all weekend. Chatter is fine, even encouraged, even from the visitors. But take a breath and shut it once in a while. If I can pick out your voice on TV, you need to take a few pitches off dude.
05/20/2015 at 10:48 PM #86367WufpackerParticipantThursday’s Slate:
NC State @ ND – 11am
L’Ville @ Clemson – 3pm
FSU @ Carolina – 7pmAnd natch, the Pack’s game tomorrow will possibly/likely be impacted by weather.
05/21/2015 at 8:37 AM #86369ruffles31KeymasterGoing tomorrow and Saturday night.
Hopefully it won’t be impacted too much since the kiddos will be with us.
Good to see the cheaters lose.
So, best plans are to win today and tomorrow and have ND beat UVA. Therefore, State could clinch the title game before playing UVA.
05/21/2015 at 11:48 AM #86379PackFamilyParticipantThe wife and I are here now. Rain delay but it is just spitting.
Bobby Lutz is in the house.
05/21/2015 at 12:40 PM #86380PackFamilyParticipantSo is Raphael Palmeiro
05/21/2015 at 2:40 PM #86381tjfoose1ParticipantNot the best of weather out here but the results are pretty good, thus far.
05/21/2015 at 3:43 PM #86382ruffles31Keymaster3-0 State through 7.
Brown was lights out. 10 K and 2 hits in his 6 innings.
In the first 2 innings, great 2 out hitting gave State the 3-0 lead.
Outside of Brown, the most discussed aspect by the commentators has been the State K Crew fan putting up all of the strikeouts.
05/21/2015 at 4:08 PM #86384Fastback68ParticipantNice win. Need more chick pics.
05/21/2015 at 4:11 PM #86385Pack78Participant^3-0 win…3-hit shutout…ditto on the pix!
05/21/2015 at 4:25 PM #86386ruffles31KeymasterVery impressive outing by both Brown and Britt.
Going to need even more hitting tomorrow. Very good win over a NCAA tourney team today.
Probably assured a spot in the NCAA tournament after today’s win.
Could move up to a 2 seed if the team keeps winning.
05/21/2015 at 6:13 PM #86389WufpackerParticipantIndeed, a very good win. Made the cold dreary day with a 2.5 hour wait worth it at least.
05/21/2015 at 6:47 PM #86392TheCOWDOGModeratorOh yeah,I can see Tobacco Road Cafe quite clearly from that pic.
See y’all Saturday night, on the road to the glory days kinda path.
Still ain’t seen anyone else with 3 straight, though.
05/21/2015 at 8:42 PM #86394TheCOWDOGModeratorBTTT.
As moderators have always stated:
“We have a thread about that going on here.”
05/21/2015 at 8:49 PM #86395TheCOWDOGModeratorMy bad…I meant Keymaster.
