Whistles taking over the Duke-Mercer game … bodes very poorly for Mercer.
They had established slight control, then Duke employed their patented ‘foul everyone and see what’s called’ defense – then lo and behold touch fouls called on Mercer and hugs not called on Duke. Go figure.
I’m seeing it … but I ain’t believing it…

#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!Duke has shot nearly 40 3’s in that game. Why any post player even considers going there amazes me. I’m not sure why, but Coach K really moved away from using his post guys on offense. The ball simply doesn’t go into the post enough with that team. When they’ve flamed out of the tourney, that’s been the big problem for them. Solid defensive teams who don’t turn over the ball and aren’t really bothered by their pressure can get high percentage shots. But Duke lives and dies by the 3.

I lived in Atlanta and traveled to Macon regularly when I was a Pup… and just thought I would add a little historical context… with a subtle reference to Duke University’s Methodist roots and the friendly “rivalry” between the preachers of both cloths…
