PS every time I look up to watch the Duke game it seems like either FSU has the ball or Duke is shooting free throws. Damn it.
Does A Smith or J Ovies have any national pull? Is there anyone that will allow this to become a big deal?
I’m glad to know it was actually a media person who heard and reported this so a bunch of idiots can’t accuse anyone here of making it up. (some may still do it , I know but they are idiots and always will be idiots) This has to become widespread news and this has got to bring a firestorm of heat on this ref and the acc office. How can this be overlooked and tolerated by the conference HQ and if it is –then their bias and crookedness is totally exposed to anyone not blind. How can anyone say we should stop complaining and take it because it doesn’t do any good? If you never stand up and demand a stop to this crap you get exactly what you deserve…more of the same. State and other schools have to band together and demand and force swoff out of his cushy job and force wholesale changes or else just leave and form another conference.
I will never understand the mentality of those who think we should just lie back and take it. Just baffling.

The single worst indictment of the AllCarolinaCall is the refereeing – in any sport. And it doesn’t matter if it’s an ACC game, ACC participant or not. It’s always awful. Look at ACC referees in bowl games, for example. There is ALWAYS a five-minute review of a play(s) followed by an OBVIOUS incorrect call based on all the clear replays provided by TV. Add to that the blue, primarily LIGHT blue, bias, and the league CONSISTENTLY shows nationally as a stacked deck PLUS incompetency.

Come on guys. I’m as pissed about this as the next State fan, but Joe Ovies and Adam Smith’s twatter feeds do NOT amount to “Media Reports”.

I apoligize for thinking previously that the ACC was fair and some people were just whinning. This was possibly the worst reffed game I have seen all year. Not so much Howell getting fouled at the end; I’d probably let them play there too in a jump ball situation, but the way CJLeslie fouled out was garbage. Now, Im glad the refs showed some balls and fouled out Zeller, but still mostly garbage calls at the end. All said, we are a lock for the tourney now and we showed that we are very capable of beating ANYONE in the country today. CJL is an impossible matchup; Brown is a stud and Wood draws the defense even if he has to be a decoy so Zo/CJ get 1 on 1. We could make a serious 2-3 game run in the tourney. The future is bright, so let’s stay positive even after this garbage loss.
Does Yow know? Is there any way on earth that ESPN or some other national media can hear about this?
Will it be in the paper or on ESPN tomorrow? We have to get this in the main stream!!!

If anything comes of this then the ACC will just say that referee won’t be refereeing for State for a while and not apologize. They will just replace one A-hole with another A-hole who will screw us over.

It’s a good thing that wasn’t said to Bobby Knight. They would still be treating that ref at the emergency room. I give coach Gottfried a lot of credit for keeping his cool. I would have not been so controlled.
Debbie Yow needs to notify the NCAA to investigate Swofford & the ACC head office for a “Bounty Program” in place w/their referees. Their objective-screw NC State @ all costs. Protect the Blues @ all costs.
I see that the refs have willed Duke back into the game. I wonder if Ian Miller has ever fouled out of a game before.
5:20pm Update: ACC reprimands Brian Dorsey, releases statement –
“Brian Dorsey is one of the best on-court officials in college basketball, but the ACC has established a game management protocol, which allows the opportunity to tell a head coach to “Shut your fucking ass up.â€, ACC commissioner John Swofford said in the statement. “His reprimand is a result of a failure to follow that protocol.
“We have to depend on our officials and their judgments; and the explanation from Brian Dorsey regarding this matter has been shared with the ACC and N.C. State University.”
Brando brings up the calls in our game, Gminski quickly changes the subject.
Perfect example of why I hate Duke types even more than the Holes. K roared about bias for years, turn out he didn’t want justice, only a piece of the action. Nothing worse than a lousy hypocrite. Or in Duke’s case, a whole nation of ’em.
LMFAO. Watching the FSU/Duke game and Number 30 for FSU just fouled out. He had the ball and stuck his arm out and pushed off. They said “that’s a good call and it will get you every time”. I had just finished the Marshall video. I did not see a charge/block what I saw was him push off to move the defensive player out of the way. It was the exact same play as what just happened in the FSU game.
The only way to change this crap is to clean house COMPLETELY! Never going to happen. If it does “happen” then it will just be like when politcians say they will change how things are run but never do. Just keep the masses “happy” and nothing is ever going change…
