NC State faces off against awake Forest today at noon, and with Valentine’s Day tomorrow, maybe the Wolfpack will give us a little love with an ACC win.
The Pack has had a less than exciting season this year with an overall 12-12 record, where they’re 2-9 in the conference. Although awake Forest is 10-14, they defeated the Pack early this season in a close 74-77 loss in Deacon territory.
Traditionally we play better at home, but it’s always a guessing game. Both teams are fighting to stay relevant at the bottom of the ACC. Wake is close behind State with a 1-11 conference record, but has lost 20 ACC road games since 2010.
Despite this up-and-down season, Cat Barber has maintained a steady shooting hand throughout the season. Barber averages 23.5 points a game and scored a solid 26 earlier against Wake. Provided Cat plays true to himself with a little help from the Martin twins and Rowan, oh and the defense doesn’t fall apart, NC State should pull out ahead.
