The Pack welcomes an undefeated #3 Clemson to town this weekend for a Halloween tilt (Sorry…Howlin’ween).
Costumes will be allowed in the stadium, although there will be some restrictions:
1) Any patron wearing a mask along with their costume will be asked to remove it upon entrance in the stadium gates to verify identity and to confirm that the mask does not contain a prohibited item.
2) All costumes must fit in the patron’s assigned seat and cannot cause visual obstruction for surrounding fans.
2) Face and body paint will be allowed.
3) Toy weapons of any sort are strictly prohibited.
4) Clear candy bags containing candy from the Trunk or Treat festivities will be allowed into the stadium. All other trick or treating bags containing candy will not be allowed.
I see no way in which this could go horribly wrong.

State opened in Vegas at +9.5, which I thought was pretty respectful all things considered. In just a matter of hours, the line was moved to +10.5 however. We’ll see where it ends up. Money talks.
Speaking of respectful…..
Vegas Odds on Clemson-NCSU (TigerNet.com)
North Carolina State defeated Wake Forest 35-17 on Saturday afternoon, and the Wolfpack have also conquered Troy, Eastern Kentucky, Old Dominion, South Alabama on the season.
The Wolfpack’s two losses were to ACC schools Louisville and Virginia Tech.
The Textile Bowl will be the 84th meeting between the two institutions, and the Tigers have a commanding 54-28-1 edge in the series.
“N.C. State we know is a tough place to play, and they’re playing very well,” Swinney said during Sunday’s media teleconference. “They’re very efficient. We’ll turn the page quickly and move on.”
Every time I try to hate Dabo, he goes and says the right thing. Man I hate that. 😉

Dunno if motivation to exact revenge for last year will be on anyone’s minds, or if it will help, but FWIW, last year in Death Valley this happened….
For their part, Clemson likely needs no extra motivation as they are now on track to land in the playoff if they can stay unblemished.
The Pack does have a history of bringing the Tigs back to Earth, however. In ’11 the Pack did this to a then #7 Clemson squad which likely came in underprepared for the atmosphere and the Great Glennon equalizer.
And no one who was there can ever forget this one….

So I know it’s only Monday, but I have hope. By Friday, that might change. Hell, it might change by dinner time tonight.
But my early bizarro-world prediction…
Kyle Bambard knocks a 48 yarder thru to pull out a hard fought 30-27 win, after earlier badly shanking a PAT. I love redemption stories.
