Some guys just don’t seem to get “it” — and it appears that Shadrach Thornton is one of them. The talented running Wolfpack running back, fresh off a two-game suspension for violating unspecified team rules, was arrested for leaving the scene after he hit apparently struck someone with his moped near campus last night:
The senior running back was arrested overnight after he allegedly hit someone walking on a Raleigh sidewalk while riding a moped near NCSU’s campus.
The accident was fairly minor, but Thornton was charged with failing to give aid to an injured person, and providing information.
One would think that Thornton would avoid making any more mistakes after his latest suspension, especially given that the Wolfpack is about to start the meat of its conference schedule — games that will undoubtedly draw more attention and games that could cement his status in the upcoming NFL draft.
Now, he has placed his coach in the position of almost having to suspend him again, if not kick him off of the team outright, and not only that, gives NFL general managers one more question about his character. Those questions could easily cost him a ton of money, if the Sunday league teams don’t think he’s worth the risk.
