NC State basketball picked up a quality player to fill its gap in the backcourt this afternoon:
Rowan has been described in various recruiting write-ups as a ‘sharp-shooter’ or a ‘scoring machine.’
Originally classed as a 2016 prospect, Rowan is already a high school graduate. In June, he de-committed from Pitt and said that he was considering reclassifying to the 2015 class.
Hailing from Center Township, Pennsylvania, Rowan and his family relocated to the Fort Lauderdale area so that he could continue honing his skills against tougher competition. He did just that and landed high on a lot of recruiting rankings. He averaged 29.5 points per game at Cardinal Gibbons HS in Florida last year, garnering a lot of attention as 247Sports’ seventh-ranked small forward and the 39th-best player in this year’s class. ESPN had him ranked as #30 in its 2016 class.
