The Wolfpack have landed a top in state offensive lineman with Philip Walton. Walton comes from right down the road in Charlotte as he attends Charlotte Christian. Christian is becoming a major pipeline for The Pack as NC State has signed former player Bo Hines plus current defensive tackle Garrett Bradbury from Christian alongside linebacker Ty Linton. Walton won three state championships in high school as well. He checks in at a solid 6’7″ and 260 pounds. Although he could potentially be red shirted next season, he displays a phenomenal frame for a college offensive lineman. With the right training and work, Walton could be a mauler for The Pack in the future on the line. He was the second commit in Pack15 after Malik Douglas, although Douglas will not be signing with State due to academic concerns. Walton ended his recruitment early over offers from Elon and Marshall with interest from Clemson, Duke and North Carolina. NC State fans can follow him on twitter at https://twitter.com/bigphil_walton
