    GREAT to be in any bowl for many reasons. Nice time of year to go to St Pete. F UNCheat….have fun in Detroit a holes.

    It is not where we wanted or against who we expected, but it is an after Christmas game against a team we can beat. Now the countdown to game day begins. Let’s go Pack!

    I wish we could get rid of these sh*t bowls that do not hold any interest. damn shame to fall so far. miami should be in this game! How many tickets will the school have to eat for this game. I wish there was a rule if you are bowl eligible to get the extra practices but not go to these games (bitcoin, detroit, etc).

    So. ND stole a tier one slot from the ACC. Do they have to share any revenue from that with the conference? Or is this deal as bad as I think it is??

    And it’s not called Beef O’Brady’s anymore, so bonus.

    Considering the last minute changes which pushed us out of Tier I, it seems like a net win.

    Would have loved to get Pinstripe, but BC deserved it over us, and it makes more sense geographically.

    Notre Dame shares its bowl revenue and I think its non-home TV revenue with the ACC (it’s NBC contract is its own).

    Ordinarily, the only good thing about St. Petersburg is that it’s only 20 mins from Ybor City. But even Ybor City the day after Christmas won’t be enticing.

    This is where a win versus BC would’ve been huge — 8-4 we couldn’t have fallen to Tier 2.

    I don’t understand the disappointment on here. I am glad we fell to a bowl game we have a better shot to win. Belk v UGA?! They would kill us.

    Yea, it would probably have not been pretty against the Dawgs. But still higher profile, and we would have filled the place. I’m fine with where we are though.

    While there are way too many bowls, and a team with 2 league wins should not be picky about bowl destinations, this is priceless:

    I always want the highest profile, or barring that, the most interesting game.

    Doesn’t really matter that much if you win a game nobody cares about. These are glorified exhibitions, after all.

    3-9 and 0-8(ACC) last year. Better than the toilet bowl we went to last year. Things are just going to get better.

    OK….coulda, shoulda, woulda, maybe if…

    It is what it is. We ain’t going to Motor City. So, get over it.

    NOW, I am NOT planning on traveling….several PERSONAL reasons….like the day AFTER Christmas and the fact that I have a 2 week February motor home trip planned to Tampa….so that is it….

    I WOULD recommend that Ft. Meyers and the Edison “campus” be added to the agenda for a really “Cool” side trip. Maybe that is only for us Engineering types, but it our entire party of my BIL and wife and my 20 YO son and my wife thoroughly enjoyed it.

    As to Mr. O’Leary being a “Rich Man’s TOB”…..with ALL DUE and APPROPRIATE RESPECT….I can NOT agree with that. TOB, for all his shortcomings, was an upright and straightforward individual.

    Coach O’Leary perpetrated a HOAX in his resume (some 20 odd years ago….just “FORGOT” to update and/or correct it). Seems that he was not the “Jock” that he clamed to be at NH….OK…maybe a few of us embellished our HS careers…..

    BUT, inventing a “Higher Educational Institution, and then getting a “Master’s Degree” from said “Paper Institution…..Even Good Ole Professor Harold Hill (Music Man) at least had a REAL school….but it had burned down two years BEFORE he said he got his “Professorship” degree there.

    Really sounds to me like Coach O’Leary would be an IDEAL candidate to replace Harry (What am I doing here?) Fedora at UNC….after all, they have fake degrees for their athletes…..why NOT a coach with a Fake Degree…

    THEN the players and the Head Coach could REALLY bond…..next thing, they could be copying and producing FAKE Money….for those little trinkets that the UNC folks like.

    Seriously, We SHOULD forgive and forget Coach O’Leary…..

    At least he did “fess up” when confronted….and it finally took that DNA laden Blue Dress (I guess the Monica was REALLY the Devil….with a Blue Dress ON….or in various states of ON and OFF according to her tales to her buddy, Linda….I am RECORDING THIS….Tripp). We seem to FORGIVE certain leaders when they are CAUGHT in a LIE and crucify SOME for making a harmless remark of a simple mistake…

    Anyway…I am willing to let ByGones be ByGones….he lied….he paid the price….he showed that he is a good coach…

    BUT, he will NEVER be the “straight up” person that TOB is…

    GO PACK….I shall support you in absentia…..with full spirit and enthusiasm…

    At least we know that O’Leary is of the River’s School….of IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO WIN…Speaking of PR….is anybody watching the SD v NE game? No WONDER Rivers is not going well…..he is PROBABLY very ILL at the colors of the Uniforms that SD is sporting….

    It is LATE….watching GOTT’s TV show. Intro is a hoot….CORNY, but a HOOT.

    Gott’s GREEN Plaid Coat….over the “Red Checked” shirt that he wore almost all of last years….maybe that is a tribute to Sloan….or the fact that he does NOT have, seemingly, anyone to give him wardrobe advice…

    BUT….back on POINT….

    UNC is going to the QUICK LANE BOWL? I guess that the QUICK GRADE Team(s) should play in the QUICK LANE BOWL….in motor city….(well it used to be…) the SOUTH is more of a Motor City than Detroit is…

    I LOVE IT….we may be playing in a “Bogus Internet Currency BOWL”, but it can be used to buy your new Tesla….

    Quick Lane = Passing Lane…..as in, “hey stupid, even though you’re slower, stand here in this lane if you want to pass and get one of them paper degrees we told you about back when we were promising sheet to your momma”.

    I am ok with the St. Pete gig. Does give us a little recruiting exposure in Florida. If I did not have an NFL trip already planned, I would probably go.

    Re. the holes… does my heart good to see a morally bankrupt school play in a financially bankrupt city. Fits like a hand in glove.
