Gameday is here…and I get really tense, nervous and emotionally disheveled. Speaking of #Gameday — the day started actually nice for the Pack as we got a (very quick) highlight on ESPN’s College Gameday music montage opening this morning with a hit vs Wake Forest a couple of weeks ago.
State should be ready for today’s match up as the Wolfpack are the only Atlantic Coast Conference team that played all four ranked ACC programs – Florida State, Clemson, Louisville and Georgia Tech. Combined, the teams who have defeated NC State in 2014 post a 42-13 record this season.
Here is an interesting look at the series provided by GoPack.com: In the past decade, when NC State and UNC have met on the football field the final scores have been fairly close. In fact, the average scoring difference over that time frame is less than 10 points, while five were decided by seven points or less. Over the last ten years, the cumulative score of the series has State ahead by just ten points.
If this trend is to hold true today then I think:
(1) State needs to win the turnover battle by at least +2
(2) State’s offensive line has to play their best game of the season
(3) Jacoby Brissett has to find a way to be more accurate on downfield passes of 20+ yards.

I’ve set up this entry for anyone who wants some random college football ‘stuff’ for today. It helps me pass the time from being nervous about today.
