The roads in and around Raleigh are INSANE right now!

And, the snow continues to come down. So, we thought we would do our part to contribute to information sharing and hopefully add a little value with an ‘open thread’ for people to share whatever they would like about the storm and what they are seeing and experiencing.
I guess it isn’t just Raleigh that is currently experiencing gridlock:

At 1:15pm I was out in the storm near the intersection of Wake Forest Road and Hardimont and everything was complete gridlock. There was no moving. I ended up taking Hardimont around the back of North Hills and was able to get through Six Forks and North Hills with no problem. (One thing is for sure…there is nobody at Target!) As I crossed over the beltline all you can see is bumper to bumper cars in each direction.
My experience was the exact same as “Not a Fan of Blue’s” below. The roads are full of MORONS right now!!
WARNING: An extreme IDJIT ALERT is in effect for Wake Co from 1pm until further notice, I repeat … #SalvationLost pic.twitter.com/y26WPUgJqi

I also experienced the following as I was trying to call my wife to give her an update.
RT @nsj: Many local cell towers are jammed – too many calls, & 911 calls aren't getting through. Stay off voice – use text except for emerg.

It’s good to see the best coming out in some people:
