Yeah, yeah, the announcers keep saying this is a “veteran Central team” – losing this game would be completely unacceptable, even in an unpredictable year.

Let’s hope we come out on fire and quell my nerves.

    I will not waste anymore time watching this team this season. I thought maybe there was something there. This team needs vast improvement to be considered a mediocre ACC team. I don’t see this team upsetting anybody this season. Dead last in ACC. Done.

    I didn’t watch much. Gotten where college basketball is almost unbearable anymore. Officiating is horrid, and the play is almost as bad.

    Anyone watching the stupid nc state football show that came on after the game? Lol with Mitchell “getting better” at QB. LOL more BS. Can’t win in conference or the state in football and can’t beat NCCU in b ball. Pure shame for all involved. It’s all a effing joke, because it’s all for nothing worth a hill of beans.

    Central was definitely the better team today. Controlled the game despite lousy shooting. We just have no flow and no size down low. No meanness either. Just a bunch of guys thrown together.

    I lost a lot of faith in Gott last year. He will have to do a lot for me to regain it. I knew this was a throw away year, but not like this. He better get it together quick.

    Keep watching, inhoc. I saw it about 3 weeks ago. It is interesting but knowing what we know now… It was all talk. A lot of kumbaya if you ask me. I prefer the Saban way.

    Two points.

    1) I know this team is young, but I really am beginning to not like Gott as a coach. There is no clear leader on this team, and two key players are left from last year’s team. It appears that neither one wants to assume a leadership role. Until someone steps up and assumes the coach-on-the-floor roll, I don’t think this team will even be NIT worthy.

    2) It’s obvious that the recruiting hasn’t suffered under Gott, but I wonder if any of these pieces fit together. Two point guards, one true scorer whose defense gets him into foul trouble, a streaky shooter who can’t play defense at all, a very large and slow offensive post player, a very slow 7-footer, three forwards (none of whom can rebound). I don’t see this combination adding up to much by season’s end.

    Oh yeah. This show is about that first game when the crappy fans didn’t support the team by being in the seats. I guess going 0-7 in the conference is his response.

    Well that sucked. Short team with no inside presence but the better news is no one can shoot worth a damn. That central point guard abused Lewis in the first half. And note to NCAA if they stay with this call fouls on everyone guidelines bass fishing shows will out view the tournament

    Anyone catch last year’s SNL skit where the basketball coach chases her players in a golf cart. Stop moving and you are dead. So tired of watching players not moving on offense. NCCU moved constantly on offense. It has been like this for decades.

    There’s a lot of junk that you see in that show that make you wonder these kids are at camp happy or something. Hope that isn’t the case anymore after losing every f-ing game. I get he is trying to change the culture but a lot of that had me rolling my eyes pretty good. Just play football. That’s all we want is to see good football. Not a bunch of guys jumping around.

    Is that where the just win games? Ha that way sucks. Devoting my life to longing for the demise of the instate rival (which will never come) and beating out scoring FSU in the second half after going down 35 zip on national TV is way more fun.

    I like Lewis but never saw him as he savior/leader that some seem to think he’d become this year. Maybe down the line with some age and strength, some improved quickness and a better outside shot, but you’re not ever going to be a good point guard if you can’t get into the lane on your own consistently, or make your opponent respect you with the jumpshot. He does neither well at this point, and he’s a liability on the other end.

    I have a bad feeling about DY. Sort of like being out on a date, and about half way through you realize that the girl isn’t just unafraid to be herself, but she is actually kind of a nut. Thinking we may be out with a nut. Somewhere Gary Williams is grinning.
