Our Lovely Dumpster Fire Rages Unabated – State/BC Game Thread

dumpster-fire_mediumRejoice! All the early games are utter shite, thus you “get” to pay full attention to the Pack travelling to face the Eagles. Lucky you. In preparation, I have just finished my breakfast of champions (f-ckton of coffee, followed by two sides of bacon from Biscuitville – not on the menu, but very affordable and beyond delicious).

Use the comments for our usual gallows humor, and/or side conversations to keep our minds off the collective ass pounding we will likely take.

Well, you line up (not quickly) in a formation that allows you to put 10 in the box…

Wow…are we really gonna describe in detail the concerts we’ve seen now?

I had tickets to see Green Day last December in a very small and personal venue here in AZ. Of course Billie Joe had his now well-known freak out, and the show got cancelled.

Don’t care about this? Yeah, no shit. That’s the point.

“Money talks. They all have coke habits and prostitutes to take care of.”

Ha ha ha ha ah a- haha

Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie was amazing.

And yes, I saw Morrissey at the DPAC a few years ago. He puts on one hell of a show. And nobody even tried to suck me off in the mens’ room. Win-win.

Drivin-n-Cryin at the Cat’s Cradle was an amazing show.

I don’t know which one is worse. State fb or “tastes like Depends”. Thank god I don’t have reference imagery for the latter. Beejay Anya always eat fresh big man whether it’s three squares or strange.

Off tackle, 3rd and 10. Makes it easily.

Agree, Alpha. I lost all respect for Tom when he went back to the blue-bloods at UVA. Although he spent a number of years there as an assistant to George Welsh, he could have gone most anywhere if he really wanted to extend his coaching career in some capacity.

  8. BJD95 11/16/2013 at 3:03 PM #

I GAINED respect for him then, because he saved us three-quarters of a million dollars. Jeebus.

Are you serious BJD? Somehow I can’t see Trent Reznor and Bowie in the same venue. That just fuxors up my whole musical sensibilites.

  10. tjfoose1 11/16/2013 at 3:05 PM #

Oh well… But at leasy Ill be at the RBC later to end the day with a Wolfpack victory.

  11. BJD95 11/16/2013 at 3:06 PM #

Yes, indeed. I was either a senior in undergrad, or a first-year law student. In between sets, Bowie did a couple of songs WITH Reznor and crew.

    Equal parts spooky and incredible.

Saddened me how many people left after the NIN part (it was a VERY young crowd, but still).

  12. Wufpacker 11/16/2013 at 3:06 PM #

    It’s all Ron Cherry’s fault.

  13. st8family 11/16/2013 at 3:06 PM #

Wonder at what point in the game next week the announcers will be relegated to talking about the young players we have on our team to fill time?

13:45 to go in Q4 today.

I’m thinking in Q2 next week.

I want to “FAAAAAAAAMMME” you like an animal.

  15. Wufpacker 11/16/2013 at 3:08 PM #

Haha BJD, that’s awesomely unsettling to imagine Bowie and Reznor performing together.

  16. Wufpacker 11/16/2013 at 3:08 PM #

    LMAO redcanine….EXACTLY!!!!!

  17. BJD95 11/16/2013 at 3:10 PM #

The two songs together were NIN songs, with Trent and Bowie alternating vocals during the songs. Bowie has pretty amazing range, can’t imagine Trent does LOL.

    WuPacker,

Don’t trash me…..but the question was raised about the Eagles. They went on a 14 year “vacation…..which was a punch line to a song where one of them said…”we never broke up…..just went on a 14 year vacation….” Their first “Reunion” Tour was “Hell Freezes Over” which is what one or perhaps TWO of them said when they broke up about when they WOULD get back together was launched in 1994.

They actually did do some NEW stuff. They also had to “go back into training” for the tour. I have NO idea of the influence of drugs or whatever.

I have been to a LOT of concerts where the performer would appear around 9 – 10 and do a one hour set and leave. The Eagles gave you full value as did (if I named them….then you would be right).

They ALSO do live a charmed life. I was in the “underground” the last time they were in G’boro. They had 6 Prevost Conversion MH (busses) warming up there. All painted the same….and each cost $2.5 KK when new. They also had 3 or 4 OTR rigs painted the same. I do NOT know if they owned them or leased or whatever….but I did see that convoy come into Canada later in 2009 and the Eagles were NOT booked there….so they may from the U-Haul/Hertz for Rock bands.

Back to the game….has someone told the players we are BEHIND and to do their usual “we can win this one for the (fill in the blank)….” routine.

It is a good thing that we are not paying Baumann by the number of punts….otherwise ticket prices could go up.

  23. BJD95 11/16/2013 at 3:13 PM #

We are absolutely getting pasted in every facet of the game…and are within 6.

  24. tjfoose1 11/16/2013 at 3:13 PM #

Wow Grinnage! Another freshman. Prolly gets most improved player. He or Caldwell.

  25. Wufpacker 11/16/2013 at 3:14 PM #
