    Duke had 4 turnovers and some pretty bad offensive possessions … and won by 18.

    Dude you, nor I, would want to trade positions with DD right now. He is trying to coach as if he has confidence in a team to get a 4th and 1 when the season is on the line.

    I do agree under normal circumstances , there were come suspect calls. But seriously, no coach wants to be in the hole that DD has found (yes FOUND) himself in. He merely showed up and had what he had.

    I wish there were some more adaptability in the play calling so our inept QBs could throw high percentage completion routes. It’s not DD that’s limiting the O this year. It’s TOBs O line and a reach at signing a GR transfer who turned out to be a bust. Because he didn’t like what he saw when he arrived with Thomas and Stocker. So yeah. I’m with you F DD and the horse he road in on!

    Coach D was just asked about the qb situation and was asked if Leatham or Sherrefs or anyone else could be considered … His answer: “We’re starting the best two guys we have.” Yikes.

    He was also asked about the timeout on the kickoff and said they “didn’t have the proper alignment.”

    Ok.

    I mean isn’t it common sense that if the 3rd or 4th string QBs were better than 1st and 2nd string that they’d be playing? That doesn’t mean a damn thing.

    ^True, but Leatham is the next Kurt Warner. Staff just doesn’t see it.

    Maybe we can get Mr. Dog to put this game in proper perspective.

    That said… the last five minutes were definitely in the Top Five of worst Wolfpack football minutes I have seen over the last forty five years.

    I seriously believe that there are at least three local high school QBs better than Mitchell playing in Raleigh right now.

    VT is in a similar (but not identical) spot with Logan Thomas.

    Duke didn’t complete a pass in the second half of their game against VT and Logan Thomas gave the game away. I work with a VT grad who said he is absolutely livid over their QB play as well. Unfortunately sometimes when coaches invest in a guy he has a bad side that’s turnover prone and inept. And no amount of coaching will fix it. State has two of this guys.

    I’d been nice to have Mitchell have the easy games to grow into rather than have his first game against Fsu. I can’t help but think that scars a kid.
