Brain Bleaching – Non-Dumpster Fire Football Open Thread

Thank God that catastrophe was the early game of the day, and very few people outside of NC saw it. Enjoy the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party as your bleach-y appetizer course.

    What’s all this Ovies-Twitter-Leak-WRAL-SFN nonsense?

    Who’d yall piss off?

Here’s to hoping he is the right guy for the job, unlike a lot of folks on this site i ain’t no where near smart enough to judge the man! Just glad T.O.B is gone that train wreck was going nowhere quick!

^^ From what I read on their website, nothing new. It was all hype.

Basically said Leak is a little shady and NC State was above board, doing the right thing, including reporting Leak to the Secy of (NC) State.

WRAL did their best to satisfy their u*nc viewership, but the facts wouldn’t cooperate.

The already known relationship between Leak and CJ, and Leak and Amerson, which was reported by NCSU itself, was the “worst” they had.

Renner has been an important part of the unx offense, but seems the smurfs are gonna feel our pain, as he is out the rest of the season. Hopefully Mitchell will get his self together, and play under more control, Would be great to show out in the Duke game, with us tarnishing their 6-2 record. Who knows????

  5. vtpackfan 11/06/2013 at 12:19 AM #

A Mitchell/Thomas split is the closest chance of ” getting it together. Not such a bad thing considering it will be like the role Sherrifs was playing except Mitchell has the threat of throwing.

We are going to need both in order to score enough points to beat anyone. I think BC and Maryland are the only chances left because they are basically rushing teams and besides that 4th Qtr against Suracuse our D has been ready and steady.

I don’t care about the outcome of the Duke game, only want to see a mentally ready team performance on the road. @ Wake and FSU were lost at kickoff because the guys aren’t dialed in at kickoff. Part of that is the nature of the game and going on the road and part of that is we rely on a lot of players who went on the TOB ACC tour swings. Holy shite were we an awful road team, especially in the Atlantic (one win in 6 years!?)

Thomas went 0-3 in ACC play with 12.333 average points and Mitchell is 0-2 in ACC with 18 average points. I think Mitchell is better but not by much. Now if we could play both and average 30.333 then we might win a game! 🙂

I wonder if it is possible for people to express their opinions without calling everyone else an idiot?

I guess we need a Football Knowledge Anonymous group. We can start out by saying “I am one of the unwashed masses that knows nothing about football.”

Sad state of affairs here at SFN. Prime football season, huge games nationally, and zero discussion.

With Oregon’s loss, FSU now firmly #2. That is the story of the season.

    ^yep… both times….

Did you ever get that feeling… that the “party” moved down the street and you didn’t get an invitation or the new address ?

  15. NCStatePride 11/08/2013 at 11:47 AM #

People can only relish in their misery for so long before it stops being fun. Essentially, NC State fans have been dealing with over a month (since Wake Forest) of disappointment and dejection, so I don’t blame people for taking a hiatus to heal some wounds. I feel like lot of sites out there are a lot less active on the football front simply because fans are tired of sitting in their dirty bath water.

But never fear. We have 4 very winnable games before us and basketball season is kicking up. If we pop EKY real good at the end of the month, I suspect the SFN party will be back up.

BB Bill…The party’s at Wallace Wade’s house, where some Wolves will finally blow some doors down.

Duke can score on any team in the country, but I’m feelin’ it for the Pack O to finish Saturday.

    In a wild one:

    State 34
