Late College Games and NFL Open Thread

Time to flush watching that Wake game out of our collective system.

Butch Jones has balls the size of church bells. Georgia is deep doo-doo. Enjoy the action.

Spread teams dropping snaps on 4th and inches. Sad trombone redux.

  2. BJD95 10/05/2013 at 11:29 PM #

    UW/Stanford doesn’t look insomnia-worthy.

  3. Wufpacker 10/05/2013 at 11:31 PM #

No it does not. And it’s only 8:30 here…LOL.

  4. Wufpacker 10/05/2013 at 11:35 PM #

A&T/SCState are on the U from Atlanta.

    That can’t be live….right?

EDIT – Never mind. Answered my own question via the onscreen guide/info. Tape delayed.

  5. Wufpacker 10/05/2013 at 11:38 PM #

NW spikes the ball to stop the clock for…..?

Ah, question answered. Beauty of a way to end it.

That sad trombone getting quite the workout tonight.

  6. Wulfpack 10/05/2013 at 11:39 PM #

Ohio State gets the fumble recovery as time expires. A lot of angry people out there.

  7. MrPlywood 10/06/2013 at 1:58 AM #

After all the opportunities to lip-read Brian Kelly tonight, he has proven to be a real ass.

Looking forward to NFL today. Can’t wait to listen to about 1,009 comments on Obama weighing in on the Redskin name. I for one wish he would change his name too. It is offensive and brings up old feelings that hurt me.

    Makes about as much sense…..

  9. BJD95 10/06/2013 at 3:27 PM #

Your Wolfpack badass of the day is definitely Steven Hauschka, who is kicking RW to victory over Andy Luck.

  10. Wulfpack 10/06/2013 at 4:29 PM #

Colts top Seahawks. KC now 5-0 my friends. Take note. Reid is your coach of the year.

  11. ancsu87 10/06/2013 at 4:44 PM #

Saints 5-0 also. Have to consider Payton and Reid right now for coach of the year.

  12. choppack1 10/06/2013 at 5:45 PM #

My vote for coach of the year is Peyton Manning…

Watching the broncos play is amazing. Its the way those jimmy Johnston cowboys teams could have been without the drugs and alcohol.

I just hope injuries don’t ruin it.

  13. Wulfpack 10/06/2013 at 5:52 PM #

I believe we are watching the greatest QB of all time. His play is off the charts.

  14. choppack1 10/06/2013 at 6:04 PM #

I have never seen a qb playing at this level.

The panthers just got punched in the mouth. Nothing demoralizes a defense like getting run on…let’s see how newton and offense respond.

  15. SaccoV 10/06/2013 at 6:07 PM #

Chop. The NFL must have borrowed the ACC crew from the Wake game yesterday. Ax is holding on most every offensive play, lining up offsides and the Panthers have been called for 8 penalties.

Notre Dame needs to change their name too. As someone of Irish heritage, I’m offended.

    Same for the Demon Deacons.

You black chivalrous dudes should be offended by the USMA Black Knights.

And what about those Purdue Boilermakers… I am an engineer by training.

And remember the Fighting Christians of Elon. Yeah, they changed their name, but not because Christians were offended, but because of Muslim sensititives. Hey wait, so I guess as a white man, I should be personally offended by Redskins.

Someones needs to set the Seminole tribe straight. They’re supposed to be offended rather than take FSUs use of their name as a gesture of respect for their history and being the only native American tribe never defeated by the US. Oh wait, as a US citizen, maybe I’m supposed to be offended.

And all you women out there, what about Oregon State?

You King Charles supporters, how you feel about UVA’s callous use of your name?

How dare Eastern Kentucky demean an entire military rank.

I guess Providence is good since its ok to offend and attack Catholics. Same for all the Saints, Bishops, and other mascots of that ilk.

You farmers probably have it the worst with all those Aggies out there.

God prolly ain’t too happy with Meredith and their Angels, but are atheists supposed to be upset too?

Everyone should probably be offended by the blue hose just because.

When are the Celtics gonna change their name? And older women take another hit with Houston and all other Cougars.

And those of you from Antilla, how you feel about those men of Troy over at SoCal? But then, there are plenty of Spartans to balance it out.

There’s a lot of you here who might have a case against Trinity Christian College.

Kansas City Royals? Really? But I guess being the original one percenters, they deserve it, and more.

I wonder if there’s a flamboyantly dressed Spaniard out there who has the time to take offense to Cal State Northridge. But given their very un-PC behavior, another case of justification.

Is it Texas lawmen or elite military troops who should be most offended by all those Rangers?

And what’s with the LGBT crowd being offended by Hawaii DROPPING “Rainbow” from Rainbow Warriors? Could we please have some consistency here?

  17. choppack1 10/06/2013 at 6:32 PM #

Sacco – I know…its pretty bad…but can can lose a game on his own.

  18. Fastback68 10/06/2013 at 6:35 PM #

Panthers = State 2.0. You know your are in the Fox NFL dead zone when at 6:35 pm EST they are still showing Dallas 17 Denver 14.

  19. Wulfpack 10/06/2013 at 6:36 PM #

Missed opportunities for the panthers. Dropped TD catch by Smith. Dropped first down in red zone by Lafell. Penalties. Ints. Just not their day. But still only a score away from the W because of their awesome defense.

Top 5 in AP poll remains unchanged. FSU up to sixth and Va Tech moves into the top 25. Maryland predictably falls out after not getting off the bus at FSU.

  20. choppack1 10/06/2013 at 6:36 PM #

Yes tj. ….it is pretty ridiculous… I guess it doesn’t matter to Obama if its offensive to me that some oxy-cotin popping hillbilly gets a subsidy from the govt which only serves to enable his habit.

  21. BJD95 10/06/2013 at 6:58 PM #

Well, the last 5-7 minutes of play have really pissed me off (Denver, that is). The Panthers/Cards game is just sad.

  22. Wulfpack 10/06/2013 at 7:12 PM #

    This Dallas/Denver game is insane.

  23. BJD95 10/06/2013 at 7:13 PM #

This is an awful sports day/weekend. Blech.

  24. Wulfpack 10/06/2013 at 7:17 PM #

Just read this about the Vols schedule:

“By the way, if you’re keeping track, that means Tennessee will play three top 10 teams and five top 20 teams in the span of six games.”

    Un-real.

  25. Fastback68 10/06/2013 at 7:18 PM #

    Salvage my weekend football, Peyton.
