Former UNC football tutor Jennifer Wiley appeared in court today, facing charges that she illegally encouraged a former UNC player to sign with a sports agent. Jennifer Lauren Wiley Thompson, is facing four counts of athlete-agent inducement,  a Class I felony that carries a maximum sentence of 15 months in prison and a maximum fine of $25,000 for each offense.

The charges, which were unveiled in a Hillsborough courtroom today allege that Wiley purchased round-trip airfare for Greg Little, as well as making deliveries of packages containing cash to the former player.

More indictments are expected to be unveiled later this week.

    Good point packalum. The conglomerate may be a little nervous about a trial.

    I doubt she utters a word except her name. Foose is probably on point with his assessment. There is too much to gain financially for her to speak the truth.

One might say he was being tutored. Which reminds me…add to the motto of the typical UNC student affleat….”Johnny can’t read, write…..or tackle!”

    Like most things involving UN*, this has the appearance of a clever charade. I’ll take the ‘UN*-Skates’ approach one-step further and claim that this trial is a furtherance of the shift of blame from UN* administration. What a wonderful public platform to place blame legally (on basically a trumped ‘felony’ charge) on a good-looking UN* graduate who just had too much heart and concern for players she was funneling money to or writing papers for.

    She is but a small fish in a huge, dirty pond. The question remains will she be put on a hook and used as bait for bigger fish, or will she be mounted and photographed and held up as proof of a successful fishing trip.

    ^^SaccoV – I agree with you. This is an outrage. There have been almost ZERO real consequences for any of this nonsense, and this girl (talk about the bottom of the totem pole in more ways than one) is the one who gets fried with FELONY charges.

    They could make a movie out of this… I can see the fat, bosshog-like lawyers and administrators huddling together over scotch and cigars to figure out how they were going to spin this one and hang this chick out to dry (perhaps for a small payoff to either her or her lawyer).

    How many rogues does it take to make a full blown conspiracy? I always thought a rogue was an individual working separately and independently from his group–like a rogue great white shark that goes on a killing spree down the the east coast. We have now been told by UNCheat that a rogue assistant coach, a rogue agent runner, several rogue players, a rogue AFAM professor/department head, a rogue tutor and a lot of other rogues have done all this mess independent of the university administration. The NCAA and the Board of Governors and anybody who believes this coverup is just plain stupid and according to Ron White you can’t fix stupid.

    I actually know Jennifer and feel really bad for her. She is a sweet girl and I think she got caught up in the allure of being associated with athletes.

    The UNC administration and coaching staff are more to blame in my opinion than a college kid.

    I think she knew what she was doing, either that or she’s dumber than a box of rocks. Of course being a UNX grad THE LATER is a strong possibility. In any case Little knew it was wrong. And the guy sending the bucks knew it was wrong. The fact that they sent it to her for her to give to Little would imply that she had to know it was wrong on some level but not as serious as a felony.

    As for Dr. J and Deborah Crowder those two are under investigation and that could still come out. I’d love to see the good doctor fry and his minion too! Take away those retirement funds too. My guess is he was getting payments from someone (other than the state).

    JG78, I mean ‘good-looking’ only in the Casey Anthony sense of the word. That she looks good enough to evoke sympathy from the audience or the jury or perhaps the judge. She’s not Kate Upton by any stretch.

    I am huge fan of Andy Griffith show. I posted Earnest T quote not realizing it had already been posted. Watson and Fats Hayden are both runners for agents. They know each other well. i imagine Little hooked PJ up with Fats. I believe there is sound evidence linking Watson and Fats which could blow up the PJ situation. Now that would be Christmas coming in October!

    Y’all have it all wrong. Because of how the legal system is infested with UNC grads, the girls gets a plea deal if she keeps her mouth shut!!! If she opens it, they make her guilty on all charges and she serves the sentences consecutively.
