We gotta do something about our kicking game. I see that 2 of our 15 kickoffs were returned. Unacceptable. I bet Clemson and Alabama fans are not satisfied with such results. They expect more. And just think, it could’ve been worse if a strong wind was blowing against the kicks. And I bet under different circumstances, Sade might’ve missed a few of those field goals. What’s wrong with the coaching? Some of those kicks where a little right of center.

I also noticed a few of the long snaps were not delivered on target. The holder had to move his hands to catch the ball. That simply won’t do against better teams. And you fans, dang it, you need to make sure you line up your drink labels, front and center, facing the field at the proper angle.

So far it as what was to be expected in our DL taking the lead. First in ACC and 16 nationally in rushing yards D is commendable no matter who you face up with. We will need the front four to play at an even higher level to contain Boyd and turn Clemson into a one dimension offense. It would help if Watkins got pulled over with some Ganj and expired tags prior to Thursday nite 😉

For what it is worth, Clemson’s second leading receiver (I don’t remember his name) blew out his knee in practice this week and is lost for the season.

Well, he might have prescriptred Mary J laying around the Sammy might snag.

I kid, sorry because I believe this could be the year for the Tigers and as much it pains to say this-It would feel wierd being their speed bump to a possible BCS title game (I would accept it, just wierd).

My point is that even with Doren giving Canada the green light to implement the whole play book, this year is house money, transitional , to say the least.

Sade will have the opportunity to break kicking records and our young, inexperienced players will continue following up show stopping highlight reel plays with face palms.

Do you have any start-of-second-half-attendance stats? Perhaps you could break it down by quarter please? What about parking lot attendance?
    (I’m kidding, gents.)

Seriously, thank you for compiling all of this information. Good stuff. I expect it will change dramatically after next Thursday.

The main numbers that will matter on the 19th are those that will appear directly beneath NC State and Clemson on the big scoreboard.

I have no illusions about us winning this game. But if our D shows up, we can be competitive and make a decent game of it. Maybe we can create a bunch of turnovers that could turn things around. Our offense, especially without Mitchell, simply isn’t going to outscore this Tiger team. The key to winning will be the Wolfpack D.

But I’ll be there, cheering for the Pack!

  7. Alpha Wolf 09/12/2013 at 3:21 PM #

Clemson and State are on two different levels and this will be the best team that we play all year. Hopefully, the Pack will also have their best game of the year and will keep this one interesting and maybe even in doubt.

Sounds pessimistic but really that’s the best I can realistically hope for.

Well…A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum, Alpha.

Clemson seems to be on another level, but…Beej is gonna love this,

…Down goes Frazier. Down goes Frazier. Book it.

  9. wolfpackdawg 09/12/2013 at 8:01 PM #

I think Clemp loses along the way…God I hope so…can’t stand them. Their D is not all that…just because they played better in the first game.

  10. tjfoose1 09/12/2013 at 9:59 PM #

If Clemson is gonna pull a Clemson, @ CF is one of the likely games for it to happen.

Teams take on the personality of their coach. College teams play on emotion. If we line those two up just right, we got a good shot.

Cowdog, as the resident expert, I’m holding you to that and will be disappointed with any other result. I’ll use my George Foreman grill for good luck.

Playing “Rope-A-Dabo” for too many rounds.

If we beat Clemson on Thursday, it would be the most surprising result in Wolfpack football history since a winless NC State squad won at Death Valley (Clemson was #6 nationally and undefeated) in 1987.

We led 30-0 at the half, and held on downs late to preserve a 30-28 win. The next week, East Tennessee State beat the crap out of us.

  14. tangogr33n 09/14/2013 at 11:34 AM #

As a Wolf in Orange country, a pack win would make for a great year of college football. Just sayin’. They’re going to stumble. I hope we are the ones to do it.

  15. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 12:37 PM #

I’m not so sure Clemson stumbles this year outside of FSU. They are a very good football team and I don’t think we have near the fire power to stay with them. We shall see.

  16. BJD95 09/15/2013 at 10:07 AM #

I think Clemson is undefeated going into the showdown with the one loss Chickens. Talk about game of the century…
