We all know how the coaches cliche goes that every game is a big game and the team is taking it one game at a time but come on, no one believes that at all. Â The fans, the players and the coaches have all thought about Clemson looming large on a Thursday night in 2 weeks. And while Coach Doeren will be able to use the bye week in order to keep his team focused, we fans need to stick together and keep ourselves focused as well.
There will be some big #Pack14 recruits, and others, at this game so we need the best possible environment to help show them what NC State is all about. I don’t want to make this about the half-time passouts, we already have that topic, I really just wanted to share the visitors we’ll have at tomorrow nights game because it is important to show our best for them and for the players because Richmond is no pushover.
You all might remember about this time of year in 2011 when Liberty came into the Carter and briefly gave State a scare in a game that ultimately lead to State winning 43-21.  Well, Danny Rocco was coaching that team and he’s now the coach of State’s next opponent, Richmond. Currently ranked #12 in the FCS poll, Rocco is a good coach and familiar with NC State and Carter Finley so he’ll have his team ready to play and with the number of FCS upsets we saw in week 1, no FBS team is safe.
Official Visitors
3-star Safety – Shawn Boone
4-star WR – Johnnie Dixon
3-star OT – Lukayus McNeil
Rumors are there will be some unofficial visitors there too headlined by 5-star DE Kentavious Street and 4-star WR Travion Thompson. Â Others include Kalen McCain, Donte Thomas-Williams, Coult Culler, Jalen Mclendon, Marceilas Sutton, Bo Hines, Tony Adams, and Maurice Trowell. Â As it goes with unofficial visits, things happen and kids may or may not make it but I expect most of these kids will be there among a few 2015 and 2016 kids as well.
*In Hoops news, keep an eye on the site around 3pm when Top 50 Forward Abdul-Malik Abu will decide between NC State and Florida.  Good feelings around the State camp.
