The slate certainly looks like Alabama/TAMU and a whole bunch of nap opportunities. But some other games will turn out more interesting than we expect. That’s the beauty of saturation TV coverage, the more darts thrown, the better chance something will hit.

I will probably mostly watch Everton/Chelsea until 2:30, especially given the weakness of the early games.

    … after reading 8 pages of posts…
( as if there was something else to do this afternoon )
    I think I can safety say…

the commentary here on SFN is far better than anything being broadcast …

Note: Mr. Dog and Mr. Stick absences are unexcused.

and …. I’m not sure but that girl in the red dress looked way too familiar…..

    LOL bill…
I suspect ‘stick is in Columbia, thus he gets a pass. And is probably also giddy as shit right about now…

The ‘Dog…on the other hand, is disappointing me big time. He has been notified of his suckitude, barring a family emergency.

    ^…. “giddy” ???

what number is that on a Sofadaboda breathalyzer ?

Up 7-0 and driving early in 2nd.

“If Clemson goes 12-1, they will have beaten 2 of 3 of Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina”

    Or all 3 😉

    Since everyone here loves to call people douchebags without knowing them (elway, manziel) let me go on record;
Lived AL 20 years- never met a fan or graduate of univ I would call anything but a douche. Like LSU and Miami fans I think Saban is a lying douche.

But loved the pussyfest for Alabama.

  7. ancsu87 09/14/2013 at 9:51 PM #

Good coach but a douche nonetheless.

  8. PackFamily 09/14/2013 at 9:59 PM #

I expect USC to win, but something is wrong. They are acting a bit dysfunctional for a Spurrier team. Especially on D.

Similar to the Dallas / Denver Super Bowl in 1977. Ball hits a guy in the foot and it is a turnover for Vandy.

BJD said Bama TAM would be 49-42. Nice pick man.

Wasn’t at all impressed with USC for the third game in a row. Looking like it could be a rough season down there. If they lose to Florida it is over anyways. Of course, they will find a way to beat Clemson as they usually do.

I would have no issues with Oregon as #1. It will be Bama but the Ducks are right there.

Saban ain’t no douche. He is all business.

Nice little game going on in Tempe.

Wiscy up on ASU 14-13 going to halftime.

  14. Wufpacker 09/15/2013 at 2:09 AM #

    Wow.

I have never seen a game end like THAT before.

Wiscy in position for game winning FG, screws up with clock mgmt.

Sun Devils nip Badgers in the desert, 32-30.

Agree with Alpha that Bama, Oregon, and Clemson are the best three teams I’ve seen play. But I wouldn’t write off South Carolina, Georgia, and Stanford just yet.

I sure hope somebody beats Louisville and Ohio State so the title game doesn’t include them at all. They don’t deserve it, and I think they’d get obliterated.

I will say that the quality of play this September is WAY up, across the board. It’s been good viewing.

I think you have to throw LSU in the mix as well. They will get their chance against the Tide.

  18. BJD95 09/15/2013 at 10:30 AM #

Oh, and I hope and believe that MD will win the court challenge (the $50M is punitive, and penalties generally not allowed under NC contract law).

I still want out of the ACC as soon as possible.

LSU/Auburn is the game to watch next week. It will tell us a lot about each team. You’re right, never wise to count out the Mad Hatter.

  20. tjfoose1 09/15/2013 at 6:12 PM #

Leaving the UT Conference, err, I mean the Big 12, didn’t seem to hurt A&M too much.

  21. tjfoose1 09/15/2013 at 6:14 PM #

“Wiscy in position for game winning FG, screws up with clock mgmt.”

I think that was more of the officiating screw screwing up the clock management.

First, they fail to call the penalty (delay of game) for the ASU player jumping on the ball, and staying on the ball, AFTER the official blew the play dead, then for holding up their hand and not letting Wiscy snap it.

Clemson rolls into Raleigh ranked third. Big moment for the Pack.

  23. Wulfpack 09/15/2013 at 8:37 PM #

RW in the intros from “a whole Pack of Badgers”. Good stuff.

  24. MrPlywood 09/15/2013 at 9:47 PM #

I had no idea that Sweezy was playing O-line for the S’hawks.

That thunderstorm causing the delay is rolling over my house right now.

How do they miss a simple offsides call? Simply not looking, not doing their job.
