The slate certainly looks like Alabama/TAMU and a whole bunch of nap opportunities. But some other games will turn out more interesting than we expect. That’s the beauty of saturation TV coverage, the more darts thrown, the better chance something will hit.

I will probably mostly watch Everton/Chelsea until 2:30, especially given the weakness of the early games.

And of course Lousiville, but I doubt they have enough with the points. Not playing anyone his year. Wish they could have joined.

There are multiple 1-loss teams I would take ahead of Ohio State and Louisville, two overrated teams who don’t play anybody.

  3. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 6:00 PM #

Ohio State has Cal, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Michigan. That will be enough if they survive and no more than one more undefeated. It is not a bad schedule.

  4. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 6:01 PM #

Those are currently all ranked teams except for Cal.

  5. Wufpacker 09/14/2013 at 6:01 PM #

    Again, just bcuz I can….

  6. Wufpacker 09/14/2013 at 6:03 PM #

    Sorry guys.

I get bored easily when no effing game is even close to NOT being a blowout.

    52-7 Ducks now btw.

  7. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 6:05 PM #

    Very nice, wuf. Very nice!

Aggies trying to claw back in it.

OSU plays a terrible non-conference slate (Cal sucks), and gets a weak draw in a weak conference. I would never put them in the title game. Not saying they won’t be there, just would never get my vote.

  8. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 6:08 PM #

It is weak at the bottom, not so much the top with five ranked teams. ACC is weaker by that standard.

Anyone betting anything other than Bama/Oregon is playing a sucker’s bet.

Lotsa things can happen between now and January of course. Injuries, etc.

But taking all things into account and NOT trying to outguess fate…another sucker’s bet…..

    Ducks take the title 31-24.

    Somebody bookmark this.

If Clemson goes 12-1, they will have beaten 2 of 3 of Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina. All 3 of those teams are better than anyone on OSU’s schedule.

OSU’s hardest game comes against a team that should have lost to Akron today.

  11. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 6:13 PM #

Ducks are good, very good. I think Bama has a very long road so cant be so confident there. And Ducks will have their hands full at Stanford.

  12. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 6:13 PM #

Oregon/Stanford will be an excellent game.

  13. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 6:13 PM #

    Agreed BJD on those grounds.

  14. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 6:14 PM #

    Another McCarron/Yeldon football clinic.

  15. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 6:16 PM #

And Saban won’t let Yeldon get the score, I bet based on his earlier antics.

TAMU looking like a bunch of pussies now.

    Pardon my french.

Getting punched in the mouth by the big kid on the block hurts when you can’t figure a way to punch back.

  17. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 6:17 PM #

Methinks TAMU shoulda gone with the onsides kick. That drive was soul crushing for them.

  18. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 6:18 PM #

They just have zero answer for the Bama O. Men against boys there. And McCarron has been uber efficient all day.

It’s gotten a lot quieter down there in College Station.

I loathe Johnny Manziel, so I am enjoying this.

  20. Wufpacker 09/14/2013 at 6:19 PM #

    End of 3rd in Eugene.

    59 unanswered by Ducks.

No naked Butch Jones thus far…thank god.

  21. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 6:20 PM #

McCarron might be the most underrated player in college football. He usually isn’t asked to do too much, but when he needs to rise to the occasion…he does.

Turns out he was hurt against VPI (bad ingrown toenail, and those hurt like hellfire).

  22. Alpha Wolf 09/14/2013 at 6:20 PM #

Also, I think Gary Danielson has gone senile.

  23. BJD95 09/14/2013 at 6:21 PM #

Agreed, Alpha. And I like Nick Saban, for some unknown reason. Watching him coach is like Rain Man counting cards.

  24. Wulfpack 09/14/2013 at 6:21 PM #

Don’t think anyone outside the state of Texas that isn’t a TAMU fan likes him, Alpha. He has taken a beating in the media and the thing is it is well deserved. He brought it all on himself.

GT 31 – Duke 14 9:14 left in the fourth.

Cutcliffe’s offense is struggling without their starting QB.
